Phuket is not one place to train but several: Patong, Phuket Town, Chalong, Rawai and Bang Tao each have their own gyms, and the right one is usually the one nearest your bed. Most charge a few hundred baht at the desk.
Tourists can buy a gym day pass in Phuket: as of October 2026, Daily Sweat lists 21 Phuket gyms with one, and the 10 with a known price charge from ฿150 to ฿650, with ฿300 the typical price. All 21 sell it at the front desk, and none sells online. The catch: the desk price doesn’t always match the published one — Fitness Hero in Patong charged ฿500 where a visitor had seen ฿300 online, and Workout Club in Phuket Town charged ฿390 against a listed ฿350 — so ask before you pay.
Below: eight gyms worth the trip, then which ones are near your hotel, what passes cost, how buying works, and when a weekly pass beats paying by the day. For every listing, see all Phuket gyms with a day pass or the map, which is the quickest way to see what is close to your beach. Heading to the capital? See the Bangkok guide.
Eight Phuket gyms worth the trip
From ฿150 in Phuket Old Town to ฿650 for a gym-and-spa club at Bang Tao, with two passes that include a pool for ฿200 to ฿600, and picks in Patong, Chalong and Rawai. Each gym’s card shows the listing’s current price and when it was last checked.
1. Hi gym — ฿150 in Phuket Old Town
Hi gym, on East Chaofah Road near Phuket Old Town, charged visitors in November 2025 ฿150 for a day pass, the same as in 2023, covering the gym, a shower and the co-working area. One called that “relatively cheap compared to other (and often better) gyms in the area”. The trade-off is heat: there is no air-conditioning, plates are rarely re-racked, and the sauna only runs if staff switch it on. Towel hire is ฿10 with a ฿100 deposit. Hours are 7am–10pm Monday to Saturday.
2. X Gym Phuket — ฿200 for three floors in Phuket Town
X Gym Phuket, in Talat Nuea, Phuket Town, charged visitors in November and December 2025 ฿200 for a day on all three floors — “great gym with new equipment, plenty of space, clean showers”, one wrote. A padlock and towel are included, and a little more adds the climbing wall, sauna and pool. A December 2025 visitor found some machines “very old fashion” and could pay only in cash, or 5% more by card. Hours are 8am–10pm every day.
3. Yorkshire Hotel Gym — ฿200 with a pool in Patong
Yorkshire Hotel Gym, on Soi Sansabai in Patong, charged a September 2025 visitor ฿200 for a day pass that includes the swimming pool; “towels and lockers are complimentary”, they added, against other gyms in the area charging ฿500. An August 2026 visitor paid the same, and ฿1,500 for a month: “Doesn’t get better and cheaper than this.” It is air-conditioned, spacious and clean, with old but working equipment and dumbbells to about 40 kg. The listing’s hours are 8am–6:30pm daily, though reviewers say the gym stays open until 10pm and the pool closes at 6pm.
4. Superfit Fitness Center — ฿250 on Chalong’s Fitness Street
Superfit Fitness Center, on Soi Ta-iad in Chalong — known as “Fitness Street” — lists a ฿250 day pass and ฿1,200 for a week on its official memberships page (September 2026). A May 2026 reviewer called it “by far the best weights gym in Phuket for me”, and there is a smoothie bar. It is small for its popularity: only two treadmills and no water fountain. Hours are 6am–11pm every day (price list).
5. Elite Atoll Fitness — ฿300 with a pool in Rawai
Elite Atoll Fitness, on Soi Saiyuan 16 in Rawai, charged a July 2026 visitor ฿300 for a day pass — “fantastic value”, they wrote, for weights, calisthenics kit, cardio machines and a café downstairs. It is a large fitness centre with a pool, steam room, and boxing and Pilates studios; Muay Thai, HYROX-style and reformer classes run alongside. Hours are 6am–10pm every day (official site).
6. Alpha Health Club — ฿500, or ฿600 with the pool
Alpha Health Club, at Moo 5 in Wichit, lists a ฿500 gym day pass, ฿600 with the pool or ฿250 for the pool alone, and week passes of ฿1,200 and ฿1,600, on its official site (September 2026). “If you want a larger health club experience I think this is the best,” a March 2026 visitor wrote. Ice bath, sauna, steam, sport massage and physiotherapy are on site; guests of the O’nya Phuket Hotel get in free. It is spacious and well cooled, though the music is loud. Hours are 6:30am–10pm on weekdays and 8am–9pm at weekends (official site).
7. Fitness Hero — ฿500 near Bangla Road, open until midnight
Fitness Hero, in Banana Walk on Patong’s beach road near Bangla, charged visitors in March 2026 ฿500 for a one-day pass. The gym has two spacious, clean floors with every machine you would want, plus Muay Thai and yoga, but the price grates: “500 bahts for a drop in is wild”, wrote one, and another had seen ฿300 per session online only to be charged ฿500 at the desk. Hours are 6am–midnight every day (official site).
8. Gym Club Phuket — ฿650 for a gym and spa at Bang Tao
Gym Club Phuket, on Pasak-Koktanod Road in Cherngtalay near Bang Tao, lists a ฿650 gym day pass and ฿1,950 for a week on its official site (September 2026), with two plush towels, lockers and water. A July 2026 member called it “the best gym in Bang Tao” for the magnesium pool and cold plunge. Not everyone agrees: a May 2026 visitor found machines not bolted down and weights left scattered, and was charged extra for the pool and saunas. The site also lists a ฿500 spa day pass and a combined gym-and-spa pass, and an August 2026 visitor paid ฿500. Gym hours are 6am–10pm every day (price list).
Where to train, by area
Phuket’s gyms sit in separate towns, and X Gym’s listing puts Phuket Town roughly 30 minutes from Patong, so pick the cluster nearest where you are staying before you pick on price. Every listing below sells a day pass unless it says otherwise; where no price is shown, ask at the desk. The Phuket gym map shows them all.
- Patong: Yorkshire Hotel Gym (฿200 with the pool), Fitness Hero (฿500), Atlas gym on Thanon Ruamchai, a small, fresh gym where a 2025 visitor bought a one-day pass, Maximum Fitness on Thanon Prachanukhro, the largest fitness and combat centre in Patong, with day packages on its price page, and My Gym Patong on Phra Metta Road, a 1,000 m² fight-and-fitness space a 2025 reviewer called great value “for short stays”.
- Kamala: EMPOWER GYM, a new gym with high-end ice baths, an infrared sauna and a café; a July 2026 visitor on a day pass was given a full tour. Price not published.
- Bang Tao and Cherngtalay: Gym Club Phuket (฿650, or ฿1,950 a week).
- Phuket Town and Old Town: Hi gym (฿150), X Gym Phuket (฿200), Workout Club on Bangkok Road (฿350 listed, ฿390 paid in December 2025), Phuket Fitness New in Ratsada (฿200 in March 2026; reviewers describe it as open 24/7, with the air-con switched to fans at night) and Connext Fitness on Sakdidejana Soi 1, an immaculate gym with a shirt-on dress code and a pool, whose day rate a 2024 visitor found steep.
- North of town: Workout Club Kohkaew in Ko Kaeo, a branch of Workout Club with lockers and showers; confirm it charges the same as the town gym.
- Wichit: Alpha Health Club (฿500, ฿600 with the pool) and UTime Fitness – My Front Yard, which offers newcomers a free trial and publishes its prices only as a PDF.
- Chalong: Superfit Fitness Center (฿250) and, on the same Soi Ta-iad, KONG Phuket Strength & Conditioning, a huge open-air hall that sold a May 2026 visitor an open-gym session and has an ice-bath recovery zone. Further south at Market Village, Anytime Fitness Market Village opened in 2026 with brand-new kit.
- Rawai and Nai Harn: Elite Atoll Fitness (฿300), Nai Harn Gym, a long-standing, no-frills training gym that a July 2026 visitor called premium-priced, and The Cult Fitness Society Rawai, where an April 2026 visitor saw a constant flow of people training “for a day or a week”.
Daily Sweat has no listing in Kata or Karon yet. In Kathu, Just Fit Gym Phuket has no confirmed day pass — ask whether a visitor can pay for a single day. Late training is easiest in Patong: Fitness Hero and My Gym Patong stay open until midnight.
How much does a gym day pass cost in Phuket?
A gym day pass in Phuket costs ฿150 to ฿650, typically ฿300, as of October 2026. Of the 21 gyms listed, 10 have a known price, and half of those charge ฿250 or less.
- ฿150–฿250: Hi gym (฿150), X Gym Phuket, Phuket Fitness New and Yorkshire Hotel Gym (all ฿200), and Superfit Fitness Center (฿250).
- ฿300–฿350, the typical range: Elite Atoll Fitness (฿300) and Workout Club (฿350).
- ฿500–฿650: Alpha Health Club and Fitness Hero (฿500), and Gym Club Phuket (฿650).
Three things push the price up. A pool or spa: Alpha adds ฿100 for its pool, and Gym Club prices its spa separately, though Yorkshire Hotel Gym folds its pool into ฿200. Location: a 2025 Yorkshire reviewer found other Patong gyms charging ฿500 for the gym alone. And who is paying: a June 2026 Fitness Hero reviewer felt foreigners were charged more for the same deal, while Workout Club advertises 10% off its day pass for foreign visitors.
Prices move: Workout Club’s listed ฿350 was ฿390 at the desk in December 2025, and Fitness Hero’s ฿300 online price became ฿500 in person in March 2026. Each gym’s page shows where its price came from and when it was last checked.
Buying a pass: what to know
Walk in and pay at the desk
All 21 listed gyms sell the pass at reception, and none sells it online, so there is nothing to book in advance. Carry cash: a December 2025 visitor to X Gym could pay only in cash, or 5% more by card.
A free trial is not a day pass
Anytime Fitness Market Village offers a 1-day free trial on its club page (September 2026) but sells memberships rather than paid day passes, and its 24/7 access is for members (club page). UTime Fitness offers newcomers a free trial, KONG gave first-timers complimentary passes to try a class in May 2026, and a July 2026 visitor had a 3-day trial at Maximum Fitness. Use a trial if you are offered one, but ask which paid option covers the rest of your stay.
What the pass leaves out
No Phuket listing is recorded as requiring a towel or indoor shoes, and several include a towel: X Gym gives you a padlock and a towel, Yorkshire Hotel Gym towels and a locker, Gym Club two towels and water. Hi gym rents towels for ฿10 with a ฿100 deposit. Air-conditioning is the bigger gap: Hi gym has none, Phuket Fitness New switches to fans at night, and a June 2026 Nai Harn Gym member had to ask for it to be turned on. Pack a towel, a water bottle and a shirt you can sweat through.
One message settles most of it
Hello, I’m visiting Phuket and would like to train on [date]. What is your current day-pass price, can I pay by card or only in cash, and does it include the pool, sauna or a towel?
Day pass or weekly pass?
Phuket stays tend to run a week or more, and 4 listings publish a week pass, from ฿1,200 to ฿1,950. Count your likely workouts first:
- Alpha Health Club: ฿500 a day or ฿1,200 for a week of the gym, ฿1,600 with the pool (September 2026) — worth it from your third visit.
- Gym Club Phuket: ฿650 a day or ฿1,950 for a week, the price of three days, so it pays from your fourth; a month is ฿3,250.
- Workout Club: ฿350 a day or ฿1,290 for a week — worth it from your fourth visit — and ฿1,590 for a month. A May 2026 visitor asked for one extra day on top and was refused, so match the pass to your dates.
- Superfit Fitness Center: ฿250 a day or ฿1,200 for a week — worth it from your fifth visit; a month is ฿2,200.
Staying a month in Patong? An August 2026 visitor paid ฿1,500 for a month at Yorkshire Hotel Gym, pool included. Ask whether a package runs on consecutive days and when it expires. Our day, weekly and monthly pass guide does the maths.
Pools, saunas and Muay Thai
Daily Sweat records a pool at 6 Phuket listings and a sauna at 8. The pools are at X Gym Phuket (extra on top of the ฿200 pass), Yorkshire Hotel Gym (included), Elite Atoll Fitness, Alpha Health Club (฿600 with the gym), Gym Club Phuket and Connext Fitness. For recovery, Gym Club has a magnesium pool and ice plunge, Alpha an ice bath and steam room, and EMPOWER GYM and KONG ice baths alongside their saunas.
Muay Thai is everywhere, but a class is not a day pass. Maximum Fitness prices group Muay Thai sessions separately from its gym-only packages, though a March 2026 visitor who paid for a private session was allowed into the gym too. Workout Club sells fitness plus Muay Thai from ฿450 a day, and if you want both, say so at the desk.
ALLTHAI GYM is a sauna-and-pool destination rather than a confirmed gym day pass: a 2025 visitor recalled about ฿390 for a whole day of the steam room, sauna, onsen pools and cold plunge, from memory. Ask what is included before you go. Anytime Fitness Market Village is the only chain club among the 21 — see the Anytime Fitness chain page.

Find a Phuket gym that fits your trip
Daily Sweat keeps every Phuket gym with a confirmed day pass on one page, with the price, how to buy, opening hours and facilities for each. Start with the Phuket gym list to filter by facility, or open the map to see what is near your hotel, then confirm visitor hours and ID rules with the gym before you set off.
Search a city and use the map to find convenient options. Where available, listings show day-pass and weekly prices, how to buy access, facilities, opening hours, photos, and visitor notes. You can compare nearby alternatives and use website or map links to plan your visit. Chain pages show every branch of a brand with a confirmed pass, and day pass prices compares typical costs by country and city.
Daily Sweat is free to browse, and you don’t need an account to search. It’s a directory: you buy access through the gym or the booking option described in its listing.
Some details will still need checking, particularly when a price is missing or your visit depends on a specific facility. Traveller contributions and corrections help keep the information useful.
The aim is simple: spend less time figuring out where you can train, and more time enjoying the place you came to visit.
