Brussels is a chain town for day passes: 16 Basic-Fit clubs and 5 Jims account for every listed price, and €11.99 at a Basic-Fit kiosk is the usual way through the door.
Tourists can buy a gym day pass in Brussels: as of October 2026, Daily Sweat lists 25 Brussels gyms with one, and the 21 with a known price charge from €11.99 to €15, with €11.99 the typical price. 11 sell it at the front desk and none online; the other 14, all Basic-Fit, sell it from an orange kiosk at the entrance. The catch: both prices are chain rates, published by Basic-Fit and Jims, not amounts a visitor reported at a particular club, and Basic-Fit sells only through that card kiosk, so a broken machine can leave you outside.
Below: five gyms worth the trip, from the two chains to the independents that take drop-ins, then which ones are near your hotel, what passes cost, how buying works, and whether a multi-visit pack beats paying by the day. For every listing, see all Brussels gyms with a day pass or the map. Heading on? See the Amsterdam guide or the Paris guide.
Five Brussels gyms worth the trip
One Basic-Fit and one Jims stand in for their chains, because every club in each is listed at the same price. The other three are independents with no published single-visit price, picked because visitors have written about getting in. Each gym’s card shows the listing’s current price and when it was last checked.
1. Basic-Fit Rue Ravenstein — €11.99, open 24 hours in the centre
Basic-Fit’s own day-pass page lists €11.99 for one day, the price on all 16 Brussels listings — the chain’s rate, not a figure a visitor reported at a given club. Basic-Fit Rue Ravenstein, at Rue Ravenstein 50 (Basic-Fit calls it Brussels Gare Centrale 24/7), is the best documented: an April 2026 visitor on a 24-hour stop found “no need to book ahead, just walk in and train”, with plenty of free weights, cycling, treadmills and rowers, and a December 2025 visitor said the staff “was friendly and able to help me with a day pass since I was visiting”. Visitors reported paying less in earlier years — €9 in 2023 and 2024, €10 in April 2026 — so expect the published price now. It is open 24 hours (Basic-Fit day pass).
2. Jims Louise — €15 at the friendlier chain on Avenue Louise
Jims Louise, at Avenue Louise 321/325, is listed at €15 for a day card bought at the club — the rate in Jims’s own FAQ, captured in September 2026, rather than a price seen at this branch. If you later join, your last €15 day card is credited against the membership. An October 2021 visitor staying a few days needed a day pass and found the manager “extremely accommodating and helpful”, with a well-stocked floor of machines and free weights; that review is old, so check at the desk. Hours are 6am–10pm on weekdays and 9am–5pm at weekends (club page). Four more Jims clubs sell the same card; see the chains section below.
3. Dansaert Athletics — drop-ins at a CrossFit box with an open gym
Dansaert Athletics, at Rue Vandenbranden 1, took a visitor in March 2026 who wrote: “Drop in was possible, and price was absolutely fair.” Another dropped in while visiting in September 2025. CrossFit, Hyrox, reformer and movement studios fill the timetable, but membership includes an open gym, so ask for the open-gym rate rather than a class; no open-gym price is published. Its site lists a €20 drop-in for any class, no membership needed. Hours are 7am–9pm Monday to Thursday, 7am–8pm on Friday, 9am–4pm on Saturday and 10am–2pm on Sunday (official site).
4. Fitnastic — pay by the session in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre
Fitnastic, at Rue du Duc 54, says on its own tarifs page that it sells by the session as well as by the month, quarter and year, with no joining fee, though no amount is published. A November 2025 member liked the 20-visit card — “No commitments, no contracts” — and a 2023 reviewer found all the equipment needed, free weights included. The gym’s site gives hours of 7am–2pm and 4pm–9:30pm on weekdays (8:30pm on Friday) and 9am–4pm at weekends (official site).
5. World Class Fitness — the only listed pool and sauna, in Ixelles
World Class Fitness, at Rue d’Idalie 10b (its site gives Clos du Parnasse 10), sold a visitor a day pass in January 2025 because “it was one of the few gyms open on a Sunday and conveniently located near my hotel”; they found two squat racks, useful machines and free weights. The price isn’t recorded, and the site sells only annual memberships and a 10-session clip card. It is the only listing with a pool and a sauna, but a June 2026 reviewer reported mouldy changing rooms and showers and a freezing pool. Hours are 6:30am–10:30pm on weekdays and 8am–8pm at weekends (official site).
Where to train, by neighbourhood
With a Basic-Fit in most central communes, the nearest club is usually walkable. Every Basic-Fit is €11.99 and every Jims €15, so choose on distance and hours. The Brussels gym map shows every listing by location.
- City centre (1000): Basic-Fit Rue Ravenstein, Basic-Fit Rue Neuve on Sint-Michielsstraat, Basic-Fit Yser on Boulevard Baudouin, Basic-Fit Avenue des Arts 47/49, the women-only Basic-Fit Rue Antoine Dansaert Ladies, and Dansaert Athletics.
- Avenue des Arts, Rue Archimède and Avenue de Cortenbergh: Basic-Fit Avenue des Arts 3/4 & 5, Basic-Fit Rue Archimède and Basic-Fit Avenue de Cortenbergh.
- Saint-Josse and Schaerbeek: Basic-Fit Rue des Croisades and Jims Meiser on Chaussée de Louvain, the only Jims listing that records showers.
- Etterbeek: Basic-Fit Place Jourdan, Basic-Fit Chaussée Saint-Pierre and Jims Jourdan on Rue Gray.
- Ixelles and Avenue Louise: Basic-Fit Ixelles on Chaussée d’Ixelles, Basic-Fit Avenue Louise 225, Basic-Fit Triomflaan, Jims Porte de Namur on Square du Bastion, Jims Louise and World Class Fitness.
- Saint-Gilles: Basic-Fit Rue Moris and Basic-Fit Hôtel des Monnaies on Place Julien Dillens.
- Further out: Jims Anderlecht on Rue de Birmingham, where Jims’s site promises free parking at the door and a January 2026 member found “every machine & tool needed”, and Fitnastic in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre.
Daily Sweat records showers at 3 of the 25 Brussels listings (a blank means unconfirmed, not missing) and free weights at 7, including four of the five Jims clubs. For a late or early session, 11 of the Basic-Fit clubs are listed as open 24 hours.
How much does a gym day pass cost in Brussels?
A gym day pass in Brussels costs €11.99 to €15, typically €11.99, as of October 2026. Of the 25 gyms listed, 21 have a known price, and only two prices exist:
- €11.99: all 16 Basic-Fit clubs, the chain’s published single-day rate.
- €15: all 5 Jims clubs, the chain-wide day card from Jims’s FAQ.
- No published price: Dansaert Athletics, Fitnastic and World Class Fitness — ask before you go — plus a strength gym covered in the last section.
So what you pay depends on the chain, not the neighbourhood. Basic-Fit is the cheaper, kiosk-sold option with 24-hour clubs; Jims costs a little more and has a desk, coaches on the floor and a shorter day. The independents trade a published price for coaching, a CrossFit box or, at World Class Fitness, the only pool and sauna on the list.
Prices move: Basic-Fit visitors reported €9 in 2023 and 2024, €9.99 at Avenue des Arts in 2023 and €10 in April 2026, against the €11.99 the chain now publishes. Each gym’s page shows where its price came from and when it was last checked.
Buying a pass: what to know
Basic-Fit: a card, a kiosk and a QR code
At every Basic-Fit you buy the pass with a bank card at the orange kiosk at the club entrance. A QR code is sent to the email address you give, and you scan it at the gates. Under Basic-Fit’s terms the pass is a single entry — you can go in and out only once — it can be used up to 7 days after purchase, and the minimum age to train is 16. A March 2026 visitor at Avenue de Cortenbergh found the machine broken at 5:30am and wrote that “the app does not sell day passes”, and a 2023 visitor at Avenue des Arts found “no one to assist you”. Have a second club in mind.
Jims and the independents: ask at the desk
11 of the 25 listings sell at the front desk: the five Jims clubs, four independents and Basic-Fit Ixelles and Rue Neuve, whose notes still point to the kiosk. At Jims you pay €15 at reception during staffed hours. At Dansaert Athletics, Fitnastic and World Class Fitness, ask the price first.
Free trials are not day passes
Jims’s site offers a free trial pass — a full day at the Jims club of your choice, requested online — and World Class Fitness offers a free one-day trial with the pool and sauna if you contact it. Both are aimed at people thinking of joining, so treat them as a bonus, not a plan.
What the pass leaves out
No Brussels listing records a towel or indoor-shoe rule, but Basic-Fit visitors in 2024 and 2026 said to bring your own lock, a June 2026 visitor had a locker broken open at Avenue des Arts 47/49, and a September 2025 regular at Rue Neuve advised using the lockers outside the changing room. Reviewers at two Basic-Fit clubs reported cold showers. Pack a padlock, a towel and a water bottle.
One message settles most of it
Bonjour / Hello, I’m visiting Brussels and would like to train on [date]. Can I buy a single visit at reception, how much is it, and do I need my own towel or padlock?
Day pass or multi-visit pack?
No Brussels listing has a weekly price. For a longer stay, these are the options on record:
- Basic-Fit prepaid packs: €29.99 for 3 visits, which Basic-Fit says saves €6 against three single passes, or €59.99 for 6 visits with one of them free. Both are valid for 12 months and bought at the same kiosk — worth it from your third visit. A 2024 visitor also saw a 1-week option at the kiosk; its price isn’t recorded.
- Jims: Fitness memberships from €39.99 per 4 weeks on Jims’s site in September 2026, and your last €15 day card is credited if you join — ask about the minimum term first.
- Independents: Fitnastic sells a 20-visit card with no contract (November 2025); Dansaert Athletics a 10-class pack for €165 or a no-commitment month for €154; World Class Fitness a 10-session clip card for €99 covering the gym, classes, pool and sauna.
Ask whether a pack is tied to one club and when it expires. Our day, weekly and monthly pass guide does the maths.
Chains, 24-hour clubs and pools
Two chains hold 21 of the 25 Brussels listings:
- Basic-Fit, with 16 clubs at €11.99. Eleven are listed as open 24 hours: Rue Ravenstein, Rue Neuve, Yser, Ixelles, Hôtel des Monnaies, both Avenue des Arts clubs, Avenue de Cortenbergh, Avenue Louise 225, Triomflaan and Rue des Croisades. The other five — Place Jourdan, Rue Archimède, Rue Moris, Chaussée Saint-Pierre and the Dansaert Ladies club — close at 10:30pm on weekdays and 4pm at weekends. Reviews are mixed: complaints in 2026 about broken machines at Yser and Avenue Louise, a club that wasn’t open at its 7am start at Chaussée Saint-Pierre, and a renovated Rue Neuve that a November 2025 reviewer called a “Night-and-day improvement”. In May 2025 a late-night visitor was locked out of Ixelles for 20 minutes when the card system failed and the intercom went unanswered.
- Jims, with 5 clubs at €15: Louise, Meiser, Jourdan, Porte de Namur and Anderlecht, all open 7am–10pm on weekdays (Louise from 6am) and 9am–5pm at weekends. An April 2026 reviewer said the air conditioning at Porte de Namur and Jourdan had been out of service for two years, so expect a hot room in summer.
For a swim, World Class Fitness is the only Brussels listing with a pool, and its site said in September 2026 that the refurbished pool would reopen on 18 September. The big clubs — three Aspria clubs, David Lloyd Uccle, Keepcool and the Mix Brussels hotel’s wellness club — appear on the map as grey pins with no confirmed day pass; Aspria and Mix have pools and saunas, but ask at the desk before counting on access. One more listing needs a warning: Brussels Barbell, a coached strength gym in Ixelles, is listed with a day pass, but its own site says it offers no single-session passes or drop-ins — contact them first rather than turning up. For day trips, Daily Sweat also lists gyms in Antwerp, Ghent and Leuven.
Frequently asked questions
Can tourists use gyms in Brussels without a membership?
Yes. As of October 2026, 25 Brussels gyms on Daily Sweat sell a day pass. 11 sell it at the front desk and none online; the 16 Basic-Fit clubs sell it from an orange kiosk at the entrance with a bank card, and email a QR code that opens the gates.
How much is a gym day pass in Brussels?
As of October 2026, Brussels gyms on Daily Sweat charge €11.99 to €15 for a day pass, and €11.99 is the typical price across the 21 listings with a known price. Both are chain rates rather than visitor reports: €11.99 is Basic-Fit's published single-day price, and €15 is the day card in Jims's FAQ, captured in September 2026. Basic-Fit visitors paid €9 to €10 between 2023 and April 2026.
Are there 24-hour gyms in Brussels?
Yes. As of October 2026, 11 of the 16 Basic-Fit clubs on Daily Sweat are listed as open 24 hours, including Rue Ravenstein, Rue Neuve and Ixelles. The pass is sold only at the entrance kiosk, and in May 2025 a late-night visitor was locked out of Basic-Fit Ixelles when the card system failed.
Can I buy a weekly gym pass in Brussels?
No Brussels listing on Daily Sweat has a weekly price as of October 2026. Basic-Fit sells prepaid packs instead: €29.99 for 3 visits or €59.99 for 6 visits, valid for 12 months, so the 3-visit pack pays off from your third session.
Which Brussels gym with a day pass has a pool?
World Class Fitness in Ixelles is the only Brussels listing on Daily Sweat with a pool and sauna. A visitor bought a day pass there on a Sunday in January 2025, but no single-visit price is published, and a June 2026 reviewer reported mouldy changing rooms and a freezing pool, so ask at reception first.
Find a Brussels gym that fits your trip
Daily Sweat keeps every Brussels gym with a confirmed day pass on one page, with the price, how to buy, opening hours and facilities for each. Start with the Brussels gym list to filter by facility, or open the map to see what is near your hotel, then confirm visitor hours and ID rules with the gym before you set off.
Search a city and use the map to find convenient options. Where available, listings show day-pass and weekly prices, how to buy access, facilities, opening hours, photos, and visitor notes. You can compare nearby alternatives and use website or map links to plan your visit. Chain pages show every branch of a brand with a confirmed pass, and day pass prices compares typical costs by country and city.
Daily Sweat is free to browse, and you don’t need an account to search. It’s a directory: you buy access through the gym or the booking option described in its listing.
Some details will still need checking, particularly when a price is missing or your visit depends on a specific facility. Traveller contributions and corrections help keep the information useful.
The aim is simple: spend less time figuring out where you can train, and more time enjoying the place you came to visit.
