Prague Gym Day Passes: Where to Train, Prices and Tips for Tourists

By Daily Sweat11 min read

Prague is a cheap city to keep training in. In Praha 1, old-school gyms sell a single entry for 200 Kč or less, and the big modern clubs charge about 350 Kč. You can usually walk in and pay at reception.

Quick answer

Tourists can buy a gym day pass in Prague: as of October 2026, Daily Sweat lists 15 Prague gyms with one, and the 11 with a known price charge from 160 Kč to 500 Kč, with 200 Kč the typical price. 14 sell it at the front desk, and 1 sells online. The catch: the cheap passes are at old-school gyms with short weekend hours, and the big clubs charge extra for the basics: Form Factory rents a padlock for 30 Kč and a towel from 69 Kč. Bring your own of both.

Below are eight gyms worth the trip. After them: which gyms are near your hotel, what passes cost, how buying works, when the city’s one weekly pass is worth it, and where to train late. For every listing, see all Prague gyms with a day pass or the map. Travelling on by train? JOHN REED also has clubs in our Vienna guide and Berlin guide.

Eight Prague gyms worth the trip

The picks run from 160 Kč for a gym and pool at the YMCA to 350 Kč at JOHN REED. Five charge 200 Kč or less, and the other three are bigger clubs with a week pass, a sauna or round-the-clock hours. Each gym’s card shows the listing’s current price and when it was last checked.

1. Sports Center YMCA — 160 Kč for the gym and the pool

  1. Sports Center YMCAYMCANa Poříčí 1041/12, Prague160.00 CZK day passShowersSaunaPoolFree weightsChecked Sep 2026160 Kč for one entry that covers the gym and the pool, on Na Poříčí in the New Town, confirmed by a visitor in August 2026.

Sports Center YMCA, at Na Poříčí 12 in Nové Město, sells a 160 Kč single entry covering the gym and the pool, the only pool among Prague’s day-pass listings. A visitor in August 2026 called the pool “good for a quick swim”, though the lanes were tight, and noted “lockers with digital locks and key included”. A 2024 visitor found good free weights and machines in a “no frills gym” that ran a bit hot. The listing also records showers and a sauna. Hours are 6:30am–9:30pm Monday to Thursday, 6:30am–9pm on Friday, 9am–5pm on Saturday and noon–8pm on Sunday (official site).

Before you go: check the pool schedule on the YMCA’s website, as a September 2025 visitor advises, since the pool runs to a schedule.

2. Fitness Vagon — 170 Kč for an old-school iron gym on Národní

  1. Fitness VagonNárodní 961/25, Prague170.00 CZK day passShowersChecked Sep 2026170 Kč for a full day at an old-school weights gym on Národní, with showers, in the Old Town.

Fitness Vagon, at Národní 25 in Staré Město, lists a 170 Kč single full-day entry on its own website, and a September 2025 visitor paid the same: “great for tourists”, with showers, though “more nostalgic than functional”. Hours are 7am–9pm on weekdays, 10am–6pm on Saturday and 2pm–8pm on Sunday (official site). Its site said it would close on Saturdays from June to the end of September 2026.

Before you go: the price evidence is a year old, so confirm it at the desk, and check Saturday opening before you set off.

3. AXAGYM — 190 Kč at Florenc

  1. AXAGYM110 00 Praha-Praha 1, Prague190.00 CZK day passShowersChecked Sep 2026190 Kč at a no-frills strength gym at Florenc, open until 10pm on weekdays, with showers renovated in 2026.

AXAGYM, on Na Poříčí at Florenc, charged an April 2026 visitor 190 Kč for a day pass: “Cheapest I’ve found traveling around Europe!” Another visitor in July 2026, there on a day pass, found the equipment “old school but in such good condition”. A July 2026 review says the showers have been renovated, but many locker-room lockers are still defective. Hours are 7am–10pm on weekdays and 9am–8pm at weekends (official site).

Before you go: pick a locker that closes properly before you leave your things in it.

4. PRO-ONE Fitness — 190 Kč in Vinohrady, shoes off

  1. PRO-ONE FitnessVinohradská 1710/100, Prague190.00 CZK day passChecked Sep 2026190 Kč on an official price list valid from May 2026, at a small, very clean bodybuilding gym on Vinohradská.

PRO-ONE Fitness, at Vinohradská 100 in Vinohrady, lists a 190 Kč single entry on its official price list, valid from 1 May 2026. In September 2025 a couple paid for “a casual visit” on a Sunday morning and had use of the lockers. They found the gym “small but immaculately clean”, with lots of pin-loaded machines. Another visitor that month reports a rule to take off your shoes and use a towel. Hours are 7am–10pm on weekdays and 9am–8pm at weekends (official site).

Before you go: expect to take off your street shoes, and pack clean indoor shoes and a towel. Staying a week? See its 5-entry pass under Day pass or weekly pass.

5. ARENA GYM Centrum — 200 Kč for lifting and functional training

  1. ARENA GYM CentrumPalackého 717/11, Prague200.00 CZK day passFree weightsChecked Sep 2026200 Kč drop-in on Palackého in the New Town, with platforms where you can lightly drop a barbell.

ARENA GYM Centrum, at Palackého 11 in Nové Město, gave an April 2026 visitor a “smooth drop in experience for 200 czk”. There are enough platforms to drop a barbell lightly, which suits Olympic lifting and functional training. Hours are 6am–9pm on weekdays, 8am–1pm on Saturday and 12:30pm–8:30pm on Sunday (official site).

Before you go: the same visitor suggests avoiding group-class times, when it gets crowded.

6. Xplore Fitness — 340 Kč a day or 950 Kč a week on Na Příkopě

  1. Xplore Fitness110 00 Praha 1-Staré Město, Prague340.00 CZK day passShowersFree weightsChecked Sep 2026340 Kč a day or 950 Kč a week for 2,500 m² over three floors on Na Příkopě, with showers, racks and free weights.

Xplore Fitness, at Na Příkopě 17, charged a February 2026 visitor 340 Kč for a day pass and 950 Kč for a week. It is the only weekly price on record in Prague. The club has 2,500 m² over three floors, with cardio upstairs, squat platforms and free weights, and a calisthenics section. Showers, lockers and Wi-Fi come with it, and a September 2025 reviewer called it “highly recommended for visitors”. Hours are 6:30am–10pm on weekdays and 9am–9pm at weekends (official site).

Before you go: a July 2026 visitor says the lock “costs extra when going multiple times”, so bring a padlock if you buy the week.

7. Form Factory Václavské náměstí — 349 Kč on Wenceslas Square

  1. Form Factory Fitness Center Václavské náměstíForm FactoryVáclavské nám. 22, Prague349.00 CZK day passSaunaFree weightsChecked Sep 2026349 Kč at a big multi-level chain club on Wenceslas Square with a sauna, confirmed by a visitor in August 2026.

Form Factory Václavské náměstí, at Václavské náměstí 22, charged an August 2026 visitor 349 Kč for a day pass. They praised a “massive gym with so much equipment” over several levels, and the fact that you can train in your street shoes. An April 2026 visitor mentions the sauna. Staff register you for the one-day pass at reception. Padlock rental is 30 Kč and a towel from 69 Kč. Hours are 6am–10pm on weekdays and 8am–9pm at weekends (club page). See the Form Factory chain page.

Before you go: bring a lock and a towel, and you avoid both extras.

8. JOHN REED Fitness Praha — 350 Kč for a Gothic weight room

  1. JOHN REED Fitness PrahaJOHN REED FitnessKarlovo nám. 10, Prague350.00 CZK day passShowersFree weightsChecked Sep 2026350 Kč on Karlovo náměstí for a design-led club with plenty of free weights, open 24 hours; buy the pass 7am–9pm.

JOHN REED Fitness Praha, at Karlovo náměstí 10, sells a 350 Kč day pass, according to its own website. A January 2026 visitor paid the same. The site says you buy it at reception between 7am and 9pm every day, with no registration in advance. An April 2026 reviewer describes a weight room with “a Gothic design” and an abs area “styled like a library”. In June 2026 a visitor from Australia found “the whole process of getting a day pass was so easy”. The club is listed as open 24 hours, and the listing records showers and free weights (club page). See the JOHN REED chain page.

Before you go: arrive by 9pm to buy the pass. The doors stay open later, but the desk doesn’t sell passes after that.

Where to train, by neighbourhood

Most of Prague’s day-pass gyms are in Praha 1, so if you’re staying in the centre, one is likely to be a short walk away. The Prague gym map shows every listing by location.

  • Old Town (Staré Město): Fitness Vagon on Národní (170 Kč) and Xplore Fitness on Na Příkopě (340 Kč).
  • Nové Město: Na Poříčí, Náměstí Republiky and Hybernská: Sports Center YMCA (160 Kč) and AXAGYM (190 Kč), both on Na Poříčí, plus Form Factory Palladium inside the Palladium shopping centre. It is listed at the chain’s 349 Kč, but an August 2026 visitor found it “extremely small”, and its own site calls it the chain’s smallest club. Max Fitness Hybernská is here too; a January 2026 visitor trained there during a stay, but its price isn’t recorded.
  • Nové Město: Wenceslas Square, Růžová, Palackého and Karlovo náměstí: Form Factory Václavské náměstí (349 Kč), Fitness Center R5 on Růžová (190 Kč in September 2025, with a boxing ring, a sauna and old Technogym kit), ARENA GYM Centrum on Palackého (200 Kč) and JOHN REED on Karlovo náměstí (350 Kč).
  • Vinohrady: PRO-ONE Fitness on Vinohradská (190 Kč) and Bodytime on Mikovcova, a private gym you book by the slot (from 198 Kč for an hour).
  • Smíchov: Euforie Fitness & Wellness on Štefánikova, with squat racks and free weights. The last day-pass evidence is from 2022 and gives no price, so confirm before you go.
  • Holešovice: Next.Move Holešovice on Dělnická (500 Kč) and ONEGYM Holešovice on Pod Dráhou, where a July 2026 reviewer confirms a day pass but gives no price.

Daily Sweat records showers at 6 of the 15 Prague listings, a sauna at 5 (the YMCA, R5, both Form Factory clubs and Max Fitness Hybernská, whose site includes the sauna in the entry) and a pool only at the YMCA. A blank means unconfirmed, not missing. Form Factory Anděl and Karlín, Max Fitness Bílá Labuť and Flora, and Retro Gym are on the map too, but with no confirmed day pass, so ask at the desk.

How much does a gym day pass cost in Prague?

A gym day pass in Prague costs 160 Kč to 500 Kč, typically 200 Kč, as of October 2026. Of the 15 gyms listed, 11 have a known price, and six of those charge 200 Kč or less.

  • 160–200 Kč, the old-school gyms: Sports Center YMCA (160 Kč), Fitness Vagon (170 Kč), AXAGYM, Fitness Center R5 and PRO-ONE Fitness (190 Kč), and ARENA GYM Centrum (200 Kč).
  • 340–350 Kč, the big modern clubs: Xplore Fitness (340 Kč), both Form Factory clubs (349 Kč) and JOHN REED (350 Kč).
  • 500 Kč: Next.Move Holešovice, whose official FAQ gives the single-entry price. A May 2026 reviewer found the day pass “way overpriced for what’s actually available”.

What drives the price is the type of gym, not the location: the cheap gyms and the dearer clubs sit side by side in Praha 1. Of the 15 listings, 5 belong to chains: Form Factory (two clubs), JOHN REED, the YMCA and Euforie. Apart from the YMCA, the priced chain clubs sit in the 349–350 Kč band; the dearest pass, at Next.Move, is an independent’s. Bodytime has no day price: you rent the whole gym by the slot.

Visitors last confirmed Fitness Vagon’s and R5’s prices in September 2025, and Form Factory Palladium’s is the chain’s Wenceslas Square price, so confirm all three at the desk. Each gym’s page shows where its price came from and when it was last checked.

Buying a pass: what to know

Walk in and pay at the desk

14 of the 15 listed gyms sell the pass at reception, and none is listed as cash-only. JOHN REED needs no registration in advance, and Form Factory signs you up for a one-day pass at the desk. Check the day’s hours before you go: several old-school gyms open late on Sunday (Fitness Vagon and R5 at 2pm) or close early on Saturday (ARENA GYM at 1pm, R5 at 3pm).

Book online at Bodytime

Bodytime is the one listing that sells online. You rent the whole private gym in 30-minute slots at 99 Kč each, with a 60-minute minimum, so the shortest visit costs 198 Kč. You pay online, and a token bundle saves up to 20%. An August 2026 visitor from San Francisco booked online and got a door code that worked only for their time block.

A free first visit is a trial, not a day pass

Next.Move’s site offers a free first visit (první vstup zdarma), booked through its website. If you’re back for a second session, the single entry is 500 Kč. Treat the free visit as a trial, not a day pass.

What the pass leaves out

No Prague listing records a towel or indoor-shoe rule, but a September 2025 PRO-ONE visitor had to take off their shoes and use a towel, while Form Factory let an August 2026 visitor train in street shoes. Form Factory rents padlocks (30 Kč) and towels (from 69 Kč), and Xplore charges for the lock on repeat visits. The YMCA includes a key with its digital lockers, and Max Fitness Hybernská’s site lists free towel hire. Pack workout clothes, a clean pair of indoor shoes, a towel and a padlock; our carry-on gym packing list shows how to fit them in hand luggage.

One message settles most of it

Hello, I’m visiting Prague and would like to train on [date]. What is your current single-entry price, can I pay at reception, and do I need indoor shoes, a towel or my own padlock?
Máte jednorázový vstup? (“Do you sell a single entry?”)

Day pass or weekly pass?

Count your likely workouts before buying anything longer. The options on record:

  • Xplore Fitness: 340 Kč a day or 950 Kč for a week (February 2026), so the week costs less than three day passes. It is the only Prague listing with a weekly price.
  • PRO-ONE Fitness: its official price list (valid from May 2026) has a 5-entry pass for 800 Kč, valid six months, against 190 Kč a visit. It pays off only if you use all five. A month is 1,450 Kč. A September 2025 visitor staying a week called the 5-day option inexpensive.
  • Cheap day passes: at the YMCA’s 160 Kč or AXAGYM’s 190 Kč, three sessions cost less than Xplore’s week pass. A July 2026 reviewer warns that AXAGYM’s 10-visit credit expires within a few weeks, so pay by the visit.

Ask whether a package means consecutive days or a number of entries, and when it expires. Our day, weekly and monthly pass guide does the maths.

24-hour and late-night gyms

Three Prague listings are open 24 hours, but a visitor can’t walk into any of them at 3am off the street:

  • JOHN REED Fitness Praha (350 Kč) is open around the clock, but its day pass is sold only from 7am to 9pm.
  • Bodytime (from 198 Kč for an hour) is listed as open 24 hours. You book a slot online in advance and get a door code that works only for that slot.
  • ONEGYM Holešovice is open 24/7, but its site says round-the-clock entry is for members only. A July 2026 reviewer found its day pass “too expensive” and gave no price, so ask at reception.

For an evening session, AXAGYM, PRO-ONE, Xplore and both Form Factory clubs stay open until 10pm on weekdays. Max Fitness Hybernská is open until 10pm every day, but its site says the last entry is at 9:15pm. For an early start, ARENA GYM Centrum, Form Factory and Max Fitness Hybernská open at 6am on weekdays. Still deciding whether your hotel gym will do? See hotel gym vs gym day pass.

Find a Prague gym that fits your trip

Daily Sweat keeps every Prague gym with a confirmed day pass on one page, with the price, how to buy, opening hours and facilities for each. Start with the Prague gym list to filter by facility, or open the map to see what is near your hotel, then confirm visitor hours and ID rules with the gym before you set off.

Search a city and use the map to find convenient options. Where available, listings show day-pass and weekly prices, how to buy access, facilities, opening hours, photos, and visitor notes. You can compare nearby alternatives and use website or map links to plan your visit. Chain pages show every branch of a brand with a confirmed pass, and day pass prices compares typical costs by country and city.

Daily Sweat is free to browse, and you don’t need an account to search. It’s a directory: you buy access through the gym or the booking option described in its listing.

Some details will still need checking, particularly when a price is missing or your visit depends on a specific facility. Traveller contributions and corrections help keep the information useful.

The aim is simple: spend less time figuring out where you can train, and more time enjoying the place you came to visit.
