Copenhagen Gym Day Passes: Where to Train, Prices and Tips for Tourists

By Daily Sweat10 min read

Copenhagen is not a cheap place to train, but it is an easy one: the independents in Valby and Vesterbro charge 70 kr. to 100 kr. for a day, the central SATS clubs 149 kr., and most of the rest sell you a pass at the desk or in an app.

Quick answer

Tourists can buy a gym day pass in Copenhagen: as of October 2026, Daily Sweat lists 15 Copenhagen gyms with one, and the 10 with a known price charge from 70 kr. to 149 kr., with 125 kr. the typical price. 11 sell it at the front desk and none is listed as selling online, though FitnessX, Train and PureGym sell theirs through an app or website. The catch: many clubs let you in by app, code or face scan, and the desk is staffed only part of the day, so buy before you set off or arrive while someone is at reception.

Below: seven gyms worth the trip, then which ones are near your hotel, what passes cost, how buying works, and when a weekly pass beats paying by the day. For every listing, see all Copenhagen gyms with a day pass or the map. Crossing to Sweden? Malmö, 29 km away, has 25 gyms with a day pass on Daily Sweat. Heading on to the Netherlands? See the Amsterdam guide.

Seven Copenhagen gyms worth the trip

From 70 kr. at a bodybuilding gym in Valby to 149 kr. at SATS in the old centre, with two strength gyms under 100 kr., an app-only pass, a boutique club with a sauna and a 24-hour club. Each gym’s card shows the listing’s current price and when it was last checked.

1. Copenhagen Gym — 70 kr. for a hardcore gym in Valby

  1. Copenhagen GymVærkstedvej 67, Copenhagen70.00 DKK day passFree weightsChecked Sep 2026The cheapest listed day in Copenhagen: 70 kr. on the gym's own webshop in September 2026, open 5am to 11pm every day.

Copenhagen Gym, at Værkstedvej 67 in Valby, sells a one-visit day ticket for 70 kr. on its official webshop, as of September 2026, though the homepage banner says 100 kr. It is a hardcore gym with top-tier equipment for every muscle group and little cardio — “Great bodybuilder gym!”, a visitor wrote in February 2026, adding that the space is very big and “does not feel crowded”. Hours are 5am–11pm every day (official site).

Before you go: it is 4.3 km from the centre; closer to Central Station, Vesterbronx Gym charges 99 kr.

2. FitnessX Carlsberg Byen — 75 kr. in the app

  1. FitnessX København V, Carlsberg ByenThorvald Bindesbølls Pl. 1, Copenhagen75.00 DKK day passFree weightsChecked Sep 202675 kr. for a day of gym and classes, bought in the FitnessX app with a card or MobilePay, in the Carlsberg district.

FitnessX Carlsberg Byen, on Thorvald Bindesbølls Plads, sells a 75 kr. day pass through its app, as its official day-pass page said in September 2026: download the app, tap “Køb Pass”, pay by credit card or MobilePay and you are logged straight in. The pass covers the gym and group classes at all FitnessX centres, and must be used within 14 days of buying it. Reviews are mixed: a June 2026 visitor found it “Sometimes a bit dirty and some machines are not maintained well”, with music loud enough to drown out headphones. Hours are 5am–11pm on weekdays and 6am–11pm at weekends; the desk is staffed 9am–7pm Monday to Thursday and 9am–5pm on Friday (day-pass page).

Before you go: cancel any class you can’t make — an October 2025 reviewer says FitnessX charges 75 kr. for a no-show.

3. Vesterbronx Gym — 99 kr. near Central Station

  1. Vesterbronx GymVesterbrogade 76, Copenhagen99.00 DKK day passShowersFree weightsChecked Sep 202699 kr. at the desk on Vesterbrogade, an old-school strength gym with chalk and Eleiko kit that visitors rate highly.

Vesterbronx Gym, at Vesterbrogade 76, sells a 99 kr. day pass at reception, where its website says staff are present in all opening hours; an August 2026 visitor confirmed “affordable day passes for 99 DKR”, up from 75 kr. in November 2025. Chalk is allowed and the floor is Gymleco, GYM80 and Eleiko — “Excellent gym for Copenhagen holidayers!!”, wrote a December 2025 visitor, who walked in “no questions asked”. It is on the second floor of the Føtex supermarket building, with its own street entrance to the left of the Føtex door, and a short bike ride from Central Station. Hours are 6am–10pm on weekdays and 8am–6pm at weekends (day-pass page).

Before you go: the showers are open-plan, and a December 2025 reviewer says to bring your own lock and towel.

4. Train — 100 kr. with the sauna

  1. TrainValby Langgade 48, Copenhagen100.00 DKK day passShowersSaunaChecked Sep 2026100 kr. for the gym and sauna, or 125 kr. with a class, at a 1,500 m² boutique club on Valby Langgade.

Train, at Valby Langgade 48, lists a one-day pass for 100 kr. that includes the sauna, or 125 kr. with a class, on its official price list as of September 2026. It calls itself a curated space that is never overcrowded, with a 1,500 m² gym over three floors; an October 2025 member praised the “nice showers” but said the sauna was not always on at the advertised times. Entry is by facial recognition or a one-time code, sent to your email, typed into the tablets at the door. Hours are 5am–11pm every day (price list).

Before you go: pack indoor shoes — Train’s house rules don’t allow bare feet, jeans or work clothes on the floor.

5. Sporting Health Club Kaktus Towers — about 125 kr., open 24 hours

  1. Sporting Health Club - SHC Kaktus TowersDybbølsbro 1, Copenhagen125.00 DKK day passSaunaFree weightsChecked Sep 2026About 125 kr. for a day in 2025, at a 24-hour club by Dybbølsbro with a sauna and a view one reviewer loved.

SHC Kaktus Towers, at Dybbølsbro 1, is open 24 hours and records a sauna. A September 2025 visitor “Had to pay approx 125 Krone for a day pass” after being told the free entry advertised online was only for Danish ID holders; another visitor found the machines spotless and the view “perfectly chosen”. The same local group sells day passes at SHC Gothersgade, Gothersgade 14 in the centre, where a July 2026 visitor praised the new machines and a well-stocked women’s changing room, and another, refused the free trial despite a working visa, “ended up paying 150DKK for a session”; and at SHC Åboulevarden in Nørrebro, open 5am to midnight every day (official site).

Before you go: the 125 kr. is from 2025 and the clubs may differ, so confirm the price at the desk.

6. SATS KBH Adelgade — 149 kr. in the old centre

  1. SATS KBH AdelgadeSATSAdelgade 5, Copenhagen149.00 DKK day passSaunaFree weightsChecked Sep 2026149 kr. at the desk in April 2026, with a good free-weights section, a sauna and hours from 5am to 11pm.

SATS KBH Adelgade, at Adelgade 5–7, charged a visitor in April 2026 149 kr. for a day pass: “very fair for the facilities offered”, with a large variety of equipment and a very good free-weights section. An August 2026 traveller called it the best gym they had seen across Europe, but a long-time member in July 2026 complained of old machines and no air conditioning. The listing records a sauna; hours are 5am–11pm every day (club page).

Before you go: nearer Central Station, SATS Vesterport, which a 2021 reviewer found newly renovated, is listed at the same 149 kr. and has a sauna.

7. PureGym Købmagergade — an online pass in the centre

  1. PureGymPureGymKøbmagergade 48, CopenhagenPrice at the deskSaunaChecked Sep 2026A day or weekly pass bought online for this branch, with new Matrix kit and hours from 5am to midnight; the price isn't recorded yet.

PureGym Købmagergade, at Købmagergade 48, sells its passes online. A September 2025 visitor “availed the one day pass and the process was quick and easy”, and a June 2026 reviewer who doesn’t speak Danish says that if you go during normal business hours the staff will help you buy a daily or weekly pass. The kit is new, well-maintained Matrix, and the listing records a sauna. Hours are 5am to midnight every day (club page). The price isn’t recorded yet. See the PureGym chain page.

Before you go: buy the pass for the exact branch you will visit — a December 2025 visitor “paid 14€ to do one session” and was turned away at the door for being at the wrong gym.

Where to train, by neighbourhood

13 of the 15 listings are within 2 km of the centre; only Copenhagen Gym and Train, in Valby, are further out. The Copenhagen gym map shows every listing by location.

  • Vesterport and Central Station: SATS Vesterport on Ved Vesterport (149 kr.), a few minutes’ walk from the station and Tivoli, and Power House København on Vester Farimagsgade, price not recorded.
  • Vesterbro and Carlsberg: Vesterbronx Gym (99 kr.), PureGym Gasværksvej, SHC Kaktus Towers at Dybbølsbro (about 125 kr.) and FitnessX Carlsberg Byen (75 kr.).
  • The old centre and the harbour: SATS KBH Adelgade (149 kr.), SHC Gothersgade, PureGym Købmagergade and SATS BLOX on Christians Brygge, with canal views.
  • Nørrebro: SHC Åboulevarden, open 5am to midnight.
  • Frederiksberg: PureGym Frederiksberg on Worsaaesvej, a stone’s throw from Forum Metro station.
  • Valby: Copenhagen Gym (70 kr.) and Train (100 kr.).
  • South of the harbour: PureGym Bryggen on Kigkurren, open 24 hours.

Daily Sweat records showers at 5 of the 15 Copenhagen listings and a sauna at 9 (a blank means unconfirmed, not missing). None has a pool: Form & Fitness, whose reviewers mention access to a pool and sauna, has no confirmed day pass, so ask at the desk.

How much does a gym day pass cost in Copenhagen?

A gym day pass in Copenhagen costs 70 kr. to 149 kr., typically 125 kr., as of October 2026. Of the 15 gyms listed, 10 have a known price, and six of those charge 125 kr. or more.

  • 70–75 kr.: Copenhagen Gym (70 kr.) and FitnessX Carlsberg Byen (75 kr.).
  • 99–100 kr.: Vesterbronx Gym (99 kr.) and Train (100 kr., sauna included).
  • 125 kr., the typical price: the three Sporting Health Club listings, on 2025 evidence from Kaktus Towers.
  • 149 kr.: the three SATS clubs, Adelgade, Vesterport and BLOX.

What drives the price here is the brand more than the facilities. The cheapest passes are at strength-focused independents and FitnessX’s app pass; the premium SATS clubs sit at the top, though all three record a sauna. Adding a class can cost extra: Train charges 125 kr. for a day with a class against 100 kr. for the gym and sauna, while FitnessX’s 75 kr. pass includes group classes.

Prices move: Vesterbronx went from 75 kr. to 99 kr. within a year, and the SATS and Sporting Health Club prices were each recorded at one club and applied to the others, so a July 2026 visitor paid more than the listed 125 kr. at SHC Gothersgade. Each gym’s page shows where its price came from and when it was last checked.

Buying a pass: what to know

At the desk, in staffed hours

11 of the 15 listed gyms sell the pass at reception. Vesterbronx Gym’s desk is staffed whenever it is open, and SATS staff were “super helpful with getting me day passes”, as a 2023 visitor to SATS Vesterport put it. Elsewhere, check the staffed hours: FitnessX’s desk closes at 7pm Monday to Thursday, and a September 2025 visitor who came to Power House København at 11pm to buy a day pass found no one at reception and couldn’t get through the electronic gate.

Or in an app before you arrive

FitnessX sells only through its app, with a card or MobilePay; Train sells its passes on its website and lets you in by face scan or an emailed code; Copenhagen Gym sells its 70 kr. ticket on its webshop; and PureGym sells online for one specific branch. PureGym’s website and app are only in Danish, a December 2025 visitor found, and in September 2025 a visitor spent an hour trying to buy a pass for Gasværksvej before the option disappeared, so buy at your hotel rather than at the door, or go in business hours when staff can help.

No free trials for visitors

No Copenhagen listing on Daily Sweat records a free trial for visitors. Sporting Health Club advertises free entry online, but visitors in September 2025 and July 2026 were refused it — one was told it was for Danish ID holders only — and paid for a day instead.

What to bring

No Copenhagen listing records a towel or indoor-shoe rule, but Train’s house rules require indoor shoes, and at Vesterbronx you bring your own towel and lock. Pack workout clothes, indoor shoes, a towel, a water bottle and a padlock.

One message settles most of it

Hello, I’m visiting Copenhagen and would like to train on [date]. What is your current day-pass price, can I buy it at reception or only in the app, and when is the desk staffed?

Day pass or weekly pass?

Count your likely workouts before buying a longer pass. Some on record:

  • FitnessX: 75 kr. a day or 250 kr. for a week of gym and classes at all its centres, on its official day-pass page in September 2026 — worth it from your fourth visit. It also sells a 600 kr. bonus pass, ten days for the price of eight, to use within 90 days.
  • PureGym: a June 2026 reviewer bought a daily or weekly pass online with staff help at Købmagergade; the price isn’t recorded yet. The one weekly price on Daily Sweat’s Copenhagen listings, at PureGym Bryggen, comes from a 2024 review and needs checking at the branch.
  • SATS: a 2024 visitor to SATS Vesterport found the fee for a week membership “not too high”; no price is recorded, so ask at the desk.

Ask whether a package means consecutive calendar days or a fixed number of entries, and when it expires: a FitnessX week pass must be used within 30 days of buying it. Our day, weekly and monthly pass guide does the maths.

Chains, saunas and late hours

8 of the 15 Copenhagen listings belong to a chain — SATS, PureGym and Power House — and two Danish groups filed as independents make up most of the rest:

  • SATS, with 3 listings — Adelgade, Vesterport and BLOX — at 149 kr., all with a sauna. BLOX has the only power rack recorded in Copenhagen, but a 2025 visitor found just 5–6 squat racks and the floor “Extremely overcrowded” from 6pm to 8pm.
  • PureGym, with 4 listings — Købmagergade, Gasværksvej, Frederiksberg and Bryggen — sold online, with no day price recorded yet.
  • Power House, with 1 listing on Vester Farimagsgade, listed from 4am to just before midnight; reviewers in 2026 call it one of the city’s best, but go in staffed hours.
  • Sporting Health Club, with 3 listings at about 125 kr., and more clubs on the map — Ørstedsparken, Borups Allé and Scandinavia — with no confirmed day pass, so ask at the desk.
  • FitnessX, with 1 listing, Carlsberg Byen, whose 75 kr. pass covers every FitnessX centre.

For a late session, SHC Kaktus Towers and PureGym Bryggen are open 24 hours, and SHC Åboulevarden and three PureGym clubs stay open until midnight. A 2024 visitor to PureGym Bryggen couldn’t tell when the front desk was staffed and found only members could get in, so buy your pass before you go. For a sauna, 9 listings record one, from Train’s 100 kr. pass up to the SATS clubs; SATS Fisketorvet, with a renovated locker room and a larger sauna according to 2026 reviews, has no confirmed day pass, so ask at the desk.

Find a Copenhagen gym that fits your trip

Daily Sweat keeps every Copenhagen gym with a confirmed day pass on one page, with the price, how to buy, opening hours and facilities for each. Start with the Copenhagen gym list to filter by facility, or open the map to see what is near your hotel, then confirm visitor hours and ID rules with the gym before you set off.

Search a city and use the map to find convenient options. Where available, listings show day-pass and weekly prices, how to buy access, facilities, opening hours, photos, and visitor notes. You can compare nearby alternatives and use website or map links to plan your visit. Chain pages show every branch of a brand with a confirmed pass, and day pass prices compares typical costs by country and city.

Daily Sweat is free to browse, and you don’t need an account to search. It’s a directory: you buy access through the gym or the booking option described in its listing.

Some details will still need checking, particularly when a price is missing or your visit depends on a specific facility. Traveller contributions and corrections help keep the information useful.

The aim is simple: spend less time figuring out where you can train, and more time enjoying the place you came to visit.
