Budapest Gym Day Passes: Where to Train, Prices and Tips for Tourists

By Daily Sweat10 min read

Budapest is an easy city to keep training in: 3,500 Ft buys a single entry at half the gyms with a known price, the 4% Fitness chain has four clubs with a day pass on the Pest side, and two gyms never close. The one thing to sort out before you walk over is an app.

Quick answer

Tourists can buy a gym day pass in Budapest: as of October 2026, Daily Sweat lists 15 Budapest gyms with one, and the 10 with a known price charge from 2,500 Ft to 8,000 Ft, with 3,500 Ft the typical price. 14 sell it at the front desk, and none online. The catch: several gyms make you register in an app before you can pay — 4% Fitness uses GPASS, and Nr1 Fitness and Flex Gym use their own — so set it up on your hotel wifi before you go.

Below: eight gyms worth the trip, then which ones are near your hotel, what passes cost, how buying works, and what to do for a longer stay. For every listing, see all Budapest gyms with a day pass or the map. Heading on to Austria? See the Vienna guide.

Eight Budapest gyms worth the trip

From 2,500 Ft at a lifters’ gym near Oktogon to 8,000 Ft at a club with a pool and spa, with the 4% Fitness chain, an old-school gym with its own sauna, a 24-hour gym and one pick on the Buda side. Each gym’s card shows the listing’s current price and when it was last checked.

1. Westfit Gym — 2,500 Ft on old evidence, for lifters

  1. Westfit GymJókai u. 15, Budapest2,500.00 HUF day passFree weightsChecked Sep 2023The cheapest price on record, 2,500 Ft, at an old-school powerlifting gym on Jókai utca between Oktogon and Nyugati station.

Westfit Gym, at Jókai utca 15 in District VI, is three minutes from Oktogon and five from Nyugati station, by its own account. The price is old: a travelling powerlifter wrote in September 2023 that it “costs about 7€ (2500 HF) for a day pass and you can pay by card”, and nobody has confirmed it since. Reviews from January and July 2026 describe an old-school powerlifting gym with a basement section, a full power rack and free weights, but also broken air conditioning. Hours are 6am–10pm on weekdays and 8am–8pm at weekends (official site).

Before you go: ask the price at the desk before you change — 2,500 Ft is a 2023 figure.

2. 4% Fitness GYM — 3,500 Ft for three floors by Kálvin tér

  1. 4% Fitness GYM4% Fitness1092 Hungary, Budapest3,500.00 HUF day passSaunaFree weightsChecked Sep 20263,500 Ft for a single entry at a huge three-floor gym with a sauna and a power rack, the most-reviewed listing in Budapest.

4% Fitness GYM, at Ráday utca 16 by Kálvin tér in District IX, charges 3,500 Ft for a single entry on the chain’s 2026 price list, and it is the most-reviewed gym here, at 4.8 stars from 2,759 Google reviews. The chain’s site describes 3,000 square metres over three floors; the listing records free weights, a power rack and a sauna. Visitors in October 2025 had “a daypass for 2 days, the price was very cheap” and found registration fast, and a July 2026 reviewer said to “take cash to buy your one-time entrance”. Hours are 6:30am–10:30pm on weekdays and 8am–10pm at weekends (club page). The chain’s Candy club, three floors on Rákóczi út at Blaha Lujza tér, charges the same — a June 2026 visitor paid about €8 — though a regular warned the upper floor runs hot. 4% Fitness Lotus, next to Corvin, is the same price and open 24 hours.

Before you go: download GPASS, create a free account, then pay at reception — the chain’s site says cash or the OTP SimplePay app.

3. 4% Fitness Corner — 3,500 Ft by the Opera, with a week option

  1. 4% Fitness Corner Konditerem és Edzőterem4% FitnessPaulay Ede u. 25-27, Budapest3,500.00 HUF day passChecked Sep 20263,500 Ft at a compact 4% Fitness branch on Paulay Ede utca, next to Gozsdu Courtyard, whose own page lists a one-week pass.

4% Fitness Corner, at Paulay Ede utca 25–27 in District VI, is the most central of the chain’s clubs and charges 3,500 Ft for a single visit. A June 2026 visitor who came “for one day as a tourist” found “everything a good gym needs”, though it is small and can fill up at busy times; towels and water can be bought. A March 2026 reviewer objected to creating a whole GPASS profile, photo included, for a single day pass. The club page lists short passes for visitors — 1 entry, 4 entries and 1 week — payable at reception by cash or bank card. Hours are 6:30am–10:30pm on weekdays and 8am–10pm at weekends (club page).

Before you go: there is no sauna here; 4% Fitness GYM by Kálvin tér has one at the same price.

4. Super gym — 3,500 Ft with the wellness area, cash only

  1. Super gymHajós u. 25, Budapest3,500.00 HUF day passSaunaChecked Sep 20263,500 Ft for a day ticket with unlimited use of the wellness area at an old-school gym on Hajós utca.

Super gym, at Hajós utca 25 in District VI, lists a 3,500 Ft day ticket with wellness on its own site in 2026: one visit to the cardio and weights rooms, the ping-pong table and unlimited use of the wellness area, with a sauna on the listing. Come prepared: a July 2026 visitor was asked to change and sanitise their shoes, was charged extra for a towel, and found they “don’t accept card”. Hours are 7am–10pm on weekdays and 10am–8pm at weekends (official site).

Before you go: bring forints in cash, a towel and a clean pair of indoor shoes.

5. Bank Center Fitness — 3,900 Ft at Szabadság tér

  1. Bank Center FitnessSzabadság tér 7, Budapest3,900.00 HUF day passSaunaChecked Sep 20263,900 Ft for a daily ticket that includes the sauna and group classes, inside Bank Center on Szabadság tér.

Bank Center Fitness, inside Bank Center at Szabadság tér 7 in District V, sells a 3,900 Ft daily ticket on its official 2026 price list. Every pass includes the gym floor and the sauna and lounge area, and the daily ticket also gets you into group classes. It is compact; a 2017 review called it “nice and clean” with limited space and equipment. Hours are 6am–10pm on weekdays and 8am–8pm at weekends (price list).

Before you go: the price list says towels and a change of shoes are a must.

6. Nr1 Fitness Kálvin — 4,999 Ft, open 24/7

  1. Nr1 Fitness Kálvin 24/7Kecskeméti u. 14, Budapest4,999.00 HUF day passShowersFree weightsChecked Sep 2026About 4,999 Ft for a day pass bought in the gym’s app, open 24 hours on Kecskeméti utca, with squat racks and a deadlift area.

Nr1 Fitness Kálvin 24/7, at Kecskeméti utca 14 in District V, is open 24 hours, every day. An April 2026 visitor wrote that the “Day Pass cost around 4,999 HUF. But you have to download their officials app in order to pay a day pass.” It is small, but a June 2026 reviewer praised the free weights, deadlift area and squat racks and noted “lock provided”; the listing records showers and a power rack (official site). Nr1’s Rákóczi club has no confirmed day pass.

Before you go: buy the pass in the app before you reach the door, especially at night.

7. Daily Fitness — 5,090 Ft in Buda, sauna and towel included

  1. Daily FitnessPálya u. 9, Budapest5,090.00 HUF day passSaunaChecked Sep 20265,090 Ft for an all-day ticket with free sauna, towel and locker on Pálya utca, near Déli on the Buda side.

Daily Fitness, at Pálya utca 9 in District I near Déli, is the pick for a hotel on the Buda side. Its 2026 site lists a 5,090 Ft combined day ticket, valid all day for one entry to the gym or a group class, with the sauna, a towel and a locker free. A visitor staying at a nearby hotel in September 2022 found that “for the price you get to use the gym, the sauna and you get a towel”; a September 2024 reviewer called it “handy for visitors” and found the machines easiest to get between 10am and 4pm on weekdays. Hours are 6am–10pm on weekdays and 9am–8pm at weekends (official site).

Before you go: reviewers call the machines dated — come for the all-in ticket, not the newest kit.

8. Go Active — 8,000 Ft with a pool and spa

  1. Go ActiveHolló u. 12-14, Budapest8,000.00 HUF day passShowersSaunaPoolFree weightsChecked Sep 20268,000 Ft in August 2026 for the gym, indoor pool and spa with towels, on Holló utca in District VII.

Go Active, at Holló utca 12–14 in District VII, is the priciest listing: an August 2026 visitor paid 8,000 Ft for a day pass covering separate weights and cardio sections, an indoor pool and a spa, and added that “you can also walk in and work out in the same shoes you’re wearing”. Towels are included, though a May 2026 visitor on a tourist pass found it expensive for older equipment, and April 2026 visitors bought a 3-day pass. Hours are 6:30am–10:30pm Monday to Thursday, 6:30am–9:30pm on Friday, 8am–8pm on Saturday and 10am–8pm on Sunday.

Before you go: there is no free trial, so ask at the desk what the day pass includes before paying.

Where to train, by neighbourhood

Most of Budapest’s listings are on the Pest side, all within about 2 km of the middle of the city; three are in Buda. Districts below come from each gym’s postcode. The Budapest gym map shows every listing by location.

  • District V (Szabadság tér, Váci utca, Kálvin tér side): Bank Center Fitness (3,900 Ft), Nr1 Fitness Kálvin 24/7 (4,999 Ft) and Color Fitness in the Millennium Center on Váci utca, where a September 2025 visitor paid “a bit more that 10 euro”.
  • District VI (Opera, Oktogon, Nyugati): Westfit Gym (2,500 Ft in 2023), 4% Fitness Corner and Super gym (3,500 Ft), Bliss & Body on Ó utca, with a pool and sauna but no current price, and Life1 Fitness Nyugati on Nyugati tér, where an August 2026 visitor bought a day pass for “under $12 USD”.
  • District VII: Go Active on Holló utca (8,000 Ft).
  • Districts VIII and IX (Blaha Lujza tér, Kálvin tér, Corvin): 4% Fitness Candy, 4% Fitness GYM and 4% Fitness Lotus, all 3,500 Ft.
  • Buda (District I): Daily Fitness near Déli (5,090 Ft), Flex Gym Budapest on Márvány utca, which sells its day pass through its app, and Oxygen Wellness on Naphegy utca, a wellness club with a pool.

Daily Sweat records showers at 4 of the 15 Budapest listings and free weights at 7 (a blank means unconfirmed, not missing). Six more gyms in the city are unconfirmed pins with no day pass on record, among them 4% CRUSH, W54 Fitness and the Marriott’s fitness club; ask at the desk if one is closer to you.

How much does a gym day pass cost in Budapest?

A gym day pass in Budapest costs 2,500 Ft to 8,000 Ft, typically 3,500 Ft, as of October 2026. Of the 15 gyms listed, 10 have a known price, and half of those charge exactly 3,500 Ft.

  • 2,500 Ft: Westfit Gym, on a September 2023 review — the only price under 3,500 Ft, and the oldest.
  • 3,500 Ft, the typical price: the four 4% Fitness clubs (Candy, Corner, GYM and Lotus) and Super gym, whose ticket includes its wellness area.
  • 3,900–5,090 Ft: Bank Center Fitness (3,900 Ft, with sauna), Nr1 Fitness Kálvin 24/7 (4,999 Ft) and Daily Fitness (5,090 Ft, with sauna and towel).
  • 8,000 Ft: Go Active, with a pool and spa.

Two things push the price up: a pool or spa, as at Go Active, and round-the-clock access, as at Nr1. The local chain is not the expensive option here — 5 of the 15 listings belong to a chain (four 4% Fitness clubs and Life1 Nyugati), and 4% Fitness sits at the typical price. Of the unpriced gyms, Color Fitness was a little over €10 in September 2025 and Life1 Nyugati under $12 in August 2026 by visitors’ own conversions, while Oxygen Wellness is “expensive as others have mentioned”, one September 2025 visitor wrote.

The listed prices are in forints and most come from the gyms’ own 2026 price lists; the euro and dollar figures above are what reviewers say they paid. Each gym’s page shows where its price came from and when it was last checked.

Buying a pass: what to know

Pay at the desk — after the app

14 of the 15 listed gyms sell the pass at reception, and none sells it online. But at several, the desk is only the last step. All four 4% Fitness clubs require a GPASS account (with a photo and profile) before you pay; Nr1 Fitness Kálvin needs its own app; Flex Gym sold an August 2026 visitor a day pass “with the app, it was no problem”, while a May 2026 visitor was told paying without it is “not possible”; and Color Fitness sells its day ticket in the SportMate app when reception isn’t staffed.

Carry some cash

A July 2026 visitor found Super gym doesn’t take cards, and another the same month told 4% Fitness GYM visitors to bring cash for a one-time entry, although the 4% Fitness site lists the OTP SimplePay app and Corner’s page lists bank cards too. Westfit took cards in 2023. Life1 Nyugati needed no ID and nothing to sign in August 2026.

Towels and shoes

Super gym is the only listing where Daily Sweat records the indoor-shoe rule, and staff there made a July 2026 visitor change and sanitise their shoes. Bank Center’s price list also requires towels and a change of shoes. At the other end, Go Active lets you train in the shoes you arrive in. Towels are included at Daily Fitness, Go Active and Oxygen Wellness, sold at 4% Fitness Corner and charged extra at Super gym. None of the 15 lists a free trial, so pack a towel, indoor trainers, a padlock and a water bottle.

One message settles most of it

Hello, I’m visiting Budapest and would like to train on [date]. What is your current day-pass price, do I need to register in an app first, can I pay by card, and do I need my own towel or indoor shoes?

Day pass or weekly pass?

No Budapest listing on Daily Sweat has a weekly price on record, so treat these as leads to ask about rather than prices to count on:

  • 4% Fitness Corner: its club page lists a 1-week pass at 8,000 Ft beside the 3,500 Ft single entry, which would pay off from your third visit. Confirm at reception that it is sold to visitors and which clubs it covers.
  • Multi-day packs at other gyms: visitors bought a 2-day pass at 4% Fitness GYM in October 2025, a 3-day pass at Go Active in April 2026 and a two-week pass at Color Fitness for about €25 in December 2025. Daily Sweat has no price for the first two.
  • Paying by the day: at 3,500 Ft, a week of daily sessions at a 4% Fitness club costs about three times one day at Go Active.

Ask whether a package means consecutive calendar days or a fixed number of entries, and when it expires. Our day, weekly and monthly pass guide does the maths.

Saunas, pools and 24-hour gyms

Budapest is generous with saunas: Daily Sweat records one at 7 of the 15 listings — 4% Fitness GYM, Super gym, Bank Center Fitness, Daily Fitness, Go Active, Bliss & Body and Oxygen Wellness — and at Super gym, Bank Center, Daily Fitness and Go Active the day ticket includes it.

  • Go Active (8,000 Ft): the only pool with a known day price, plus a spa and towels.
  • Oxygen Wellness, on Naphegy utca in Buda: a gym, lap pool, jacuzzi and a large sauna area, with towels and up to four hours of free parking. A September 2025 visitor called the day pass expensive but worth it for a full day; the price isn’t recorded.
  • Bliss & Body, on Ó utca: day tickets for the gym, pool and sauna were cheap in 2023, but visitors in April and July 2026 found the pool out of order and, in April, the sauna cold. Check that both are working before you pay.

For a late or early session, Nr1 Fitness Kálvin 24/7 and 4% Fitness Lotus are listed as open 24 hours, every day. Lotus is calm but unstaffed at times — a June 2026 visitor was stuck at the entry gate with no one to call — so sort out your GPASS pass during staffed hours first. Color Fitness opens at 5am every day.

Find a Budapest gym that fits your trip

Daily Sweat keeps every Budapest gym with a confirmed day pass on one page, with the price, how to buy, opening hours and facilities for each. Start with the Budapest gym list to filter by facility, or open the map to see what is near your hotel, then confirm visitor hours and ID rules with the gym before you set off.

Search a city and use the map to find convenient options. Where available, listings show day-pass and weekly prices, how to buy access, facilities, opening hours, photos, and visitor notes. You can compare nearby alternatives and use website or map links to plan your visit. Chain pages show every branch of a brand with a confirmed pass, and day pass prices compares typical costs by country and city.

Daily Sweat is free to browse, and you don’t need an account to search. It’s a directory: you buy access through the gym or the booking option described in its listing.

Some details will still need checking, particularly when a price is missing or your visit depends on a specific facility. Traveller contributions and corrections help keep the information useful.

The aim is simple: spend less time figuring out where you can train, and more time enjoying the place you came to visit.
