Taipei Gym Day Passes: Where to Train, Prices and Tips for Tourists

By Daily Sweat10 min read

Your hotel near Taipei Main Station has a treadmill and a few light dumbbells, and you want a proper session before the night markets. Can you walk into a Taipei gym and pay for one visit?

Quick answer

Yes: as of September 2026, 16 Taipei gyms on Daily Sweat sell a day pass, from NT$100 to NT$650 and typically NT$200 (roughly US$6 at September 2026 exchange rates). All 16 sell it at the front desk, so you can walk in and pay at reception. What catches visitors out is how you pay: several independents, including MORE FIT and JOV FIT, charge by the minute (分鐘計費), so ask whether a flat single entry is available.

Taipei’s day passes come mostly from independent gyms, many of them in basements, plus the World Gym chain. Most prices below come from dated Google reviews rather than official price lists. This guide picks six options by price and neighbourhood and flags the house rules worth checking. For the full list, see every Taipei gym with a day pass, or browse gyms across Taiwan.

Prices and policies come from Daily Sweat’s listings as of September 2026. Each gym’s page shows where its price came from and when it was last checked — confirm before you travel, especially in peak season.

1. FitMania: the cheapest listed day pass in Taipei

Consider it if: you’re in Xinyi and want a serious lifting session for the lowest price in town.

FitMania 健身狂潮 信義世貿館 (Xinyi World Trade Center), in the basement at Xinyi Rd Sec 4 No. 456, charges NT$100 for a day pass at the front desk, according to Google reviews from 2025 to May 2026. That’s the lowest price of any Taipei gym on Daily Sweat, and one reviewer called it an “amazing deal for tourists”.

Reviewers mention squat racks, lifting platforms, functional kit, air-conditioning, free water and limited cardio; the listing records showers, free weights and a power rack. Hours are 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM at weekends.

Before you go: aim for off-peak hours; reviewers say the gym is small.

2. Taipei Fitness Gym: old-school iron, open late in Zhongshan

Consider it if: you train late or want cables and squat racks in Zhongshan.

Taipei Fitness Gym, in the basement at Chang’an E Rd Sec 1 No. 21 in Zhongshan, charged NT$150 for a day pass as of March 2026, paid at the front desk, according to Google reviews from April and May 2026. The review that quotes the price adds that it’s cash only.

Reviewers describe an old-school basement gym with several cable set-ups, squat racks, plenty of lockers and a kind owner; the listing records a power rack. On weekdays it closes later than any other Taipei listing: 7:00 AM – 1:00 AM, and 7:00 AM to midnight at weekends.

Before you go: bring NT$150 in cash. The listing doesn’t flag the gym as cash only yet, but the review does.

3. Hypercore Fitness: racks and lifting platforms in Xinyi

Consider it if: you want full racks and a lifting platform near City Hall.

Hypercore Fitness 台北忠孝市府館 (Zhongxiao City Hall), two floors underground at Keelung Rd Sec 1 No. 200 in Xinyi, charges NT$200 for a day pass, according to a Google review from March 2026; the listing says you pay at the front desk. The same reviewer, though, describes an unstaffed “autonomous” gym with full racks and lifting platforms.

Its sister branch, Hypercore Fitness on Songren Rd (B1, No. 89, also in Xinyi), is listed at the same NT$200, taken from the Zhongxiao branch. Both list a power rack and open 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM every day (official site).

Before you go: check how visitors pay at an unstaffed gym, and confirm the Songren Rd price at the entrance.

4. MORE FIT Taipei City Hall: pay by the day or by the minute

Consider it if: you want a short session and a shower right by City Hall MRT.

MORE FIT Taipei City Hall, in the basement at Keelung Rd Sec 1 No. 139 by City Hall MRT exit 1, charges NT$200 for a day pass at the front desk, or NT$1.5 a minute, according to a 2025 Google review. At that rate, a session of up to two hours costs less than the day pass.

Its official site (live in September 2026) advertises single entry (可單次入場) with no contract, free lockers and good showers; the listing also records free weights. Hours are 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM every day.

Before you go: look for the entrance on the side of the building, and skip mid-morning, when personal-training clients keep it busy.

5. Transcend 勸世健身: a Zhongshan gym with a women’s rate

Consider it if: you’re staying in Zhongshan, especially if you’re a woman, since you’ll pay half.

Transcend 勸世健身, on the ground floor at Fushun St No. 31 in Zhongshan, sells a day pass at the front desk for NT$400, or NT$200 for women, according to its listing (last checked September 2026). It isn’t a women-only gym; women simply pay the lower rate.

The listing says it isn’t cash only, and hours are 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM every day.

Before you go: ask about showers, lockers and the equipment you need; the listing doesn’t record any facilities yet.

6. World Gym: big full-facility clubs at NT$650

Consider it if: you want a large, fully equipped club and don’t mind paying more than three times the typical price.

World Gym (世界健身俱樂部), the only chain among Taipei’s day-pass listings, charges NT$650 for a day pass at the front desk of its Taipei Station, Ton Lin (Da’an) and Songlong (Xinyi) clubs, according to Google reviews from 2025 to April 2026. Four Taipei clubs sit on our chain page; the Taipei Station club is listed separately under its Chinese name.

  • 世界健身俱樂部 台北站前店 (World Gym Taipei Station), B2 at Zhongxiao W Rd Sec 1 No. 50: a November 2025 reviewer visiting at 07:30 reports NT$650 for single-day entry and praises the friendly front desk, the space and the showers (official club page).
  • Ton Lin, 3rd floor at Zhongxiao E Rd Sec 4 No. 201: an April 2026 reviewer found it well equipped but expensive (official club page).
  • Songlong, 2nd floor at Songlong Rd No. 125: a 2025 reviewer was quoted NT$650 by phone, then passed to the sales team to haggle (official club page).

Two more clubs have no quoted price yet: Minsheng Elite in Songshan, Taipei’s only listing with a pool, where a 2025 reviewer saw many foreign visitors and day-pass holders; and Daan, the only one with a sauna. All five open 6:00 AM to midnight every day.

Before you go: bring a photo of your passport or ID and your own padlock, as the Ton Lin reviewer advises, and agree the day-pass price before any sales pitch.

How much does a gym day pass cost in Taipei?

A gym day pass in Taipei costs NT$100 to NT$650, typically NT$200, as of September 2026. That covers the 10 of 16 day-pass listings with a known price. What drives the difference:

  • Neighbourhood gym or big club. Most independents charge NT$100 to NT$200: FitMania NT$100, Taipei Fitness Gym NT$150, and NT$200 at both Hypercore branches, MORE FIT and Everyday Training 天天健肌力體能訓練. World Gym charges NT$650.
  • Who’s paying. Transcend’s listing shows NT$200, which is its women’s rate; everyone else pays NT$400.
  • Day rate or meter. MORE FIT also sells time at NT$1.5 a minute, while JOV FIT and 體育客和平店 bill by the minute at rates not yet recorded.

The other listings have no confirmed price. Reviewers quoted NT$150 at 進化論 Evolution Fitness in Da’an around September 2024, which may have changed, and call the drop-in price at 健身星球 Star Fitness a bargain without giving a figure.

None of the 16 listings shows a weekly pass or a free trial; the only multi-day option on record is a three-day pass a reviewer redeemed at World Gym Daan around April 2026, with no price noted.

How to choose the right Taipei gym

Choose by neighbourhood first, then by equipment, then by total cost. For the general method, see how to find a gym day pass while travelling.

Start with your neighbourhood

Open the Taipei gym map to see what’s closest to your hotel, or start with the 16 listings by district:

Match the equipment to your workout

Of the 16 listings, 5 record a power rack, 5 showers and 3 free weights; 1 lists a sauna (World Gym Daan) and 1 a pool (World Gym Minsheng Elite). A blank means unconfirmed, not missing.

  • Heavy lifting: FitMania, Taipei Fitness Gym, both Hypercore branches and Evolution Fitness list a power rack, and reviewers mention lifting platforms at FitMania and Hypercore.
  • A shower afterwards: FitMania, MORE FIT, World Gym Taipei Station, Evolution Fitness and 體育客和平店 list showers.

Compare the total cost

Your practical budget is:

Pass price + return transport + a padlock or towel if you have to buy one.

FitMania’s NT$100 pass is a bargain if you’re in Xinyi, less so if you’re based at Taipei Main Station, where World Gym Taipei Station charges NT$650 but saves the trip. If your hotel gym covers the basics, weigh up hotel gym vs gym day pass; for a longer stay, see day pass vs weekly pass vs monthly membership.

Rules that catch visitors out in Taipei

Daily Sweat’s Taipei listings flag few formal rules: none of the 16 requires indoor shoes or a towel, and none is listed as cash only or women-only. The surprises are practical:

  • Paying by the minute. MORE FIT charges NT$1.5 a minute unless you take its NT$200 day pass. JOV FIT bills by the minute with card entry at the door (official site), Everyday Training’s listing name advertises per-minute billing (分鐘計費), and a 2024 review says 體育客和平店 lets light users pay by the minute. Ask which you’re paying for.
  • Cash. A 2026 review says Taipei Fitness Gym (NT$150) is cash only; Transcend’s listing says it isn’t.
  • ID and a padlock. An April 2026 reviewer at World Gym Ton Lin advises bringing a photo of your passport or ID and your own padlock.
  • Sales pitches. At World Gym Songlong, a 2025 reviewer quoted NT$650 by phone was then passed to the sales team to haggle.
  • No staff on site. A March 2026 review describes Hypercore’s City Hall branch as unstaffed, so check how visitors pay before you go.
  • Basement entrances. Ten of the 16 listings are on a B1 or B2 floor, and MORE FIT’s entrance is on the side of its building.

What to check before leaving your hotel

Confirm the price, how you’ll pay and what to bring. Check:

  • Whether you’re buying a flat single entry or paying by the minute.
  • New Taiwan dollars in cash, in case the desk doesn’t take cards.
  • A photo of your passport, a padlock and a towel.
  • Today’s hours on the gym’s page, and the entrance: most listed gyms are underground.

If anything is unclear, send a short message:

Hello, I’m visiting Taipei and would like to train at your gym on [date]. Can I buy a single entry, and how much is it? Do you charge by the minute, can I pay by card, and do I need ID or a padlock?
請問可以單次入場嗎? (qǐngwèn kěyǐ dāncì rùchǎng ma? — “Can I buy a single entry?”)

Find a Taipei gym that fits your trip

Daily Sweat keeps every Taipei gym with a confirmed day pass on one page, with the price, how to buy, opening hours and facilities for each. Start with the Taipei gym list to filter by facility, or open the map to see what is near your hotel, then confirm visitor hours and ID rules with the gym before you set off.

Search a city and use the map to find convenient options. Where available, listings show day-pass and weekly prices, how to buy access, facilities, opening hours, photos, and visitor notes. You can compare nearby alternatives and use website or map links to plan your visit. Chain pages show every branch of a brand with a confirmed pass, and day pass prices compares typical costs by country and city.

Daily Sweat is free to browse, and you don’t need an account to search. It’s a directory: you buy access through the gym or the booking option described in its listing.

Some details will still need checking, particularly when a price is missing or your visit depends on a specific facility. Traveller contributions and corrections help keep the information useful.

The aim is simple: spend less time figuring out where you can train, and more time enjoying the place you came to visit.
