You’re staying in Myeongdong or Hongdae, the hotel gym stops at light dumbbells, and you packed for leg day. In Seoul that’s easy to fix: walk into a neighbourhood gym, ask for a one-day pass and you’ll typically pay ₩22,000, often with workout clothes and a towel included.
Tourists can buy a gym day pass in Seoul: as of September 2026, Daily Sweat lists 58 Seoul gyms with one, priced from ₩9,900 (a promotional rate) to ₩33,000, with ₩22,000 the typical price, roughly US$16 at September 2026 exchange rates. You buy it in person, usually at the front desk (57 of the 58 listings), and passes often include workout clothes and a towel. The catch: many gyms close on Sundays or keep short weekend hours, so check the day’s hours before you set off.
This guide picks seven places to train, from ₩15,000 to ₩30,000, in areas where visitors tend to stay. For the full list, see every Seoul gym with a day pass, or start from the South Korea page.
Prices and policies come from Daily Sweat’s listings as of September 2026. Each gym’s page shows where its price came from and when it was last checked — confirm before you travel, especially in peak season.

How much does a gym day pass cost in Seoul?
A gym day pass in Seoul costs ₩9,900 to ₩33,000, typically ₩22,000, as of September 2026. Of the 58 gyms listed, 31 have a known price, mostly in three tiers:
- ₩15,000: Gymboxx, PAGODA Health Club, Center1 Wellness and 파크짐청구점 (Park Gym Cheonggu), where a July 2026 reviewer booked through Naver.
- ₩22,000, the typical price: Double S Fitness, GYM90 Cityhall, InSeoul Fit, MCT GYM, SPOGYM Jonggak and more.
- ₩30,000–₩33,000: Seoul Sports Club, Able Gym Sinchon, HEALTHY BOY GYM Sinchon and BYSEC WORLD FITNESS at ₩30,000; 어메이징휘트니스 종로점 (Amazing Fitness Jongno), VIP Fitness Hongdae and FITNESS 101 Myeongdong at ₩33,000.
Facilities don’t explain the spread (Center1’s pool comes at ₩15,000), and prices move: a January 2026 review reports FITNESS 101 Myeongdong’s rise to ₩33,000, and a May 2026 visitor to VIP Fitness Hongdae was quoted ₩33,000 where older reviews paid ₩10,000.
The ₩9,900 at GYM P.O in Mangwon-dong is a promotion reported in August 2026; the regular rate wasn’t quoted, so expect more once it ends. A discount for leaving a review is sometimes offered, as at 스파렉스 피트니스 (SPAREX FITNESS) and Gym Congo Fitness: treat it as a bonus, not the price.
How to choose the right Seoul gym
Choose by neighbourhood first, then equipment, then total cost. The Seoul gym map shows every listing by location.
Start with your neighbourhood
- Myeongdong: Double S Fitness (₩22,000), FITNESS 101 Myeongdong (₩33,000) and Body Flex Gym (₩20,000–₩33,000 in reviews).
- Jongno, City Hall and Euljiro: GYM90 Cityhall, Center1 Wellness and Seoul Sports Club, plus PAGODA Health Club (₩15,000), MCT GYM (₩22,000) and SPAREX FITNESS (₩22,000), inside a spa building with a jjimjilbang.
- Hongdae: Gymboxx Hongdae (₩15,000), 로얄짐3호점 홍대점 (Royal Gym Hongdae) (₩16,500) and 헬스보이짐&필라걸 홍대점 (Health Boy Gym & Pila Girl Hongdae) (₩22,000; open-plan showers).
- Sinchon: Able Gym Sinchon and HEALTHY BOY GYM Sinchon (₩30,000 each); 클라우드짐 (Cloud Gym) (₩20,000) is also on Sinchon-ro.
- Gangnam: Gymboxx Gangnam and Gangnam 2 (₩15,000), 하이랙스 강남점 (Hi-Rax Gangnam) (₩25,000) and BYSEC WORLD FITNESS (₩30,000).
- Itaewon: InSeoul Fit (₩22,000); ONE MORE GYM also sells day passes, price not yet listed.
- Seoul Station: Park Gym’s Seoul Station branch sells day passes to visitors, price not yet listed.
Match the equipment to your workout
Of the 58 listings, Daily Sweat records free weights at 20, a power rack at 12, showers at 20, a sauna at 7 and a pool at 2; a blank means unconfirmed, not missing. For heavy lifting, GYM90 Cityhall, FITNESS 101 Myeongdong, Body Flex Gym, SPOGYM Jonggak and Cloud Gym record a power rack.
Compare the total cost
Your practical budget is:
A ₩15,000 pass across the city can cost more time than a ₩22,000 pass nearby. Short on time? See hotel gym vs gym day pass or our 30-minute hotel gym workout.
Day pass or weekly pass?
Stick with day passes unless you’ll use one gym several times in a week. Two week-pass prices are on record:
- FITNESS 101 Myeongdong: a January 2026 review puts the day pass at ₩33,000 and the week pass at ₩110,000, so the week pass pays off from your fourth visit.
- LIKE GYM SAMSEONG: a ₩50,000 week pass (August 2026 reviews), less than three passes at the typical ₩22,000; outfits and towels are provided.
InSeoul Fit, PAGODA Health Club and Health In 24 Sinsa also sell week passes, price not recorded. Ask whether a week means consecutive days or a set number of visits; our day, weekly and monthly pass guide does the maths.
Rules that catch visitors out in Seoul
Most rules favour visitors; opening days, payment and footwear are what catch people out.
- Clothes and towels are often included. Listings and reviews for GYM90 Cityhall, MCT GYM, Double S Fitness, SPAREX FITNESS and Seoul Sports Club mention both, and none of the 58 listings requires you to bring a towel.
- Sunday closures. Center1 Wellness, PAGODA Health Club, SPOGYM Jonggak, Body Flex Gym and Hi-Rax Gangnam are listed as closed on Sundays; Seoul Sports Club also closes on public holidays.
- Staffed hours. At 57 of the 58 listings you buy at the front desk, so check it’s staffed: a 24-hour gym such as MCT GYM may not sell passes late at night.
- Payment. None of the 58 is marked cash-only, but a foreign card was declined at Able Gym Sinchon (December 2025) and reviews describe BYSEC WORLD FITNESS as card-only. Carry both.
- Indoor shoes. One listing requires them: PAGODA Health Club, where you bring clean indoor shoes or use its slippers.
- Foreigner-only passes. A July 2026 review says the pass at Gymboxx Hongdae is for foreigners only, and OLIVE GYM reviews describe a cheap one-day pass for foreigners. Carry your passport.
A free trial is not a day pass. Anytime Fitness Korea’s “1 Day Pass” is a 무료체험 (free trial) booked online in advance on its official site, not a paid pass bought at the desk. Members of other Anytime Fitness clubs get reciprocal access, the site says, including at the Nonhyeon-ro club in Gangnam (see the Anytime Fitness chain page).
What to check before leaving your hotel
Confirm the hours, price and payment before you set off, and pack the right shoes:
- Today’s hours, especially on a Sunday or public holiday.
- The current price, and whether clothes and a towel are included.
- A card, some cash and your passport.
- Training shoes, plus clean indoor shoes for PAGODA Health Club.
- The entrance: many gyms are in basements or on upper floors.
Or ask ahead:
Hello, I’m visiting Seoul and would like to train today. Do you sell a one-day pass, and how much is it? Are clothes and a towel included, and can I pay by foreign card?
일일권 있어요? (il-il-gwon isseoyo?) “Do you have a one-day pass?”

Find a Seoul gym that fits your trip
Daily Sweat keeps every Seoul gym with a confirmed day pass on one page, with the price, how to buy, opening hours and facilities for each. Start with the Seoul gym list to filter by facility, or open the map to see what is near your hotel, then confirm visitor hours and ID rules with the gym before you set off.
Search a city and use the map to find convenient options. Where available, listings show day-pass and weekly prices, how to buy access, facilities, opening hours, photos, and visitor notes. You can compare nearby alternatives and use website or map links to plan your visit. Chain pages show every branch of a brand with a confirmed pass, and day pass prices compares typical costs by country and city.
Daily Sweat is free to browse, and you don’t need an account to search. It’s a directory: you buy access through the gym or the booking option described in its listing.
Some details will still need checking, particularly when a price is missing or your visit depends on a specific facility. Traveller contributions and corrections help keep the information useful.
The aim is simple: spend less time figuring out where you can train, and more time enjoying the place you came to visit.
