Riga is a cheap city to keep training in: MyFitness lets a first-time visitor in for €5 at each of its clubs, and Gym!’s round-the-clock clubs sell three days for €9.95.
Tourists can buy a gym day pass in Riga: as of October 2026, Daily Sweat lists 14 Riga gyms with one, and the 12 with a known price charge from €5 to €30, with €10 the typical price. 9 sell it at the front desk, and 4 sell online. The catch: MyFitness’s €5 is a first-visit price, once per club, with €15 a visit after that, and its desks check ID — carry your passport or national ID card, because a driver’s licence was refused in May 2026.
Below: seven gyms worth the trip, then which ones are near your hotel, what passes cost, how buying works, and when a weekly pass beats paying by the visit. For every listing, see all Riga gyms with a day pass or the map. Staying out on the coast? See the Jūrmala gym listings, 18 km away.
Seven Riga gyms worth the trip
From €5 for a first visit at four MyFitness clubs to €30 at a private club on Kuģu iela, with two unstaffed 24-hour gyms that sell three days for about €10. Each gym’s card shows the listing’s current price and when it was last checked.
1. MyFitness Galerija Centrs — €5 inside the Galerija Centrs mall
MyFitness Galerija Centrs, at Audēju iela 16 inside the Galerija Centrs shopping centre, charged a tourist in June 2026 €5 for a day pass: “Came as a tourist, 1 day pass cost me 5 euro, super affordable.” The same visitor found it very clean and “especially loved the squat racks”; the listing records a power rack and a sauna. After the first visit, MyFitness charges €15 a visit or €30 for 7 days. Hours are 6:30am–11pm Monday to Thursday, 6:30am–10pm on Friday and 8am–9pm at weekends (official site).
2. MyFitness Galleria Riga — €5, a rooftop yoga deck and a €30 week
MyFitness Galleria Riga, at Dzirnavu iela 67 in the Galleria Riga mall, is a large modern club with “an amazing rooftop yoga deck”, as a September 2025 visitor put it. That visitor paid €5 as a first-timer, was quoted €30 for a 7-day pass, had an ID check and was given a free lock with the day pass; in May 2026 another wrote: “The first visit costs €5, and each visit after that is €15.” The listing records free weights, showers and a sauna. Listed hours match the other MyFitness clubs (6:30am–11pm Monday to Thursday, 8am–9pm at weekends), but a February 2026 reviewer said that since its renovation “it only works till 4 on Fridays”, and that the sauna is smaller.
3. MyFitness Matīss — €5 on the 4th floor, with a sauna
MyFitness Matīss, on the 4th floor at Matīsa iela 25, is a big club with a sauna and table tennis, and in August 2026 a visitor called it “Very spacious, a ton of training equipment”. A first visit is €5, then €15 a visit. It is also where the ID rule bites: in May 2026 a traveller with a driver’s licence and a photo bank card was turned away — “you can’t get a day pass if you don’t have a passport with you”. Hours are 6:30am–11pm Monday to Thursday, 6:30am–10pm on Friday and 8am–9pm at weekends.
4. MyFitness Upītis — €5 and three floors for lifters
MyFitness Upītis, at Ernesta Birznieka-Upīša iela 21e, spreads over three floors, and a September 2025 visitor found “everything you need for powerlifting, bodybuilding and general fitness”; a March 2026 reviewer called it “Probably the best MyFitness”. A 2025 visitor paid €5 for a first visit and was quoted €30 for 7 days (another paid €3 for a day ticket). Those prices are over a year old, so check at the desk. The first of those visitors found only cold water in the showers, which the desk said was temporary, and no towel service. No opening hours are on record.
5. Gym! Origo — €9.95 for three days, open 24 hours
Gym! Origo, at Stacijas laukums 2 on the 3rd floor of the Origo shopping mall, is listed at €10; the smallest pass is three days for €9.95, bought in the Gym! app, which also opens the door — there are no staff on site. “Less than 10€ for 3-day pass. All you need as a traveler,” wrote a visitor in June 2026. A 2024 visitor counted dumbbells to 60 kg, 4 power racks, 6 benches, 2 Smith machines and a deadlift platform, and said to enter by the clock tower. It is open 24 hours; Daily Sweat’s notes advise avoiding 5pm–7pm. The same pass covers every Gym! club in Latvia, including Gym! Barons at Krišjāņa Barona iela 46, where reviewers have trained at 1am (official site).
6. Lemon Gym Skanste — €10 for three days at a kiosk
Lemon Gym Skanste, on Grostonas iela, has no reception: you register at a kiosk by the entrance, pay electronically and get in with your fingerprint. In 2024 that took a visitor three minutes, and “A three-day pass is 10 euros which is a fair price.” A September 2025 visitor had a harder time — “everything is in Latvian”, and the online form ended with an email saying the application would be answered in 1–2 business days. It is open 24 hours, and the 2024 visitor recommended mornings, when it is quieter.
7. Only Private Gym — €30 with towels and a sauna
Only Private Gym, at Kuģu iela 26, is a premium private club where towels and body-care products come with every visit, plus a sauna, showers and guarded parking; memberships are €130 a month. A September 2024 visitor was asked €30 for a single entry and was not impressed: “Do they have golden bars there?” Hours are 8am–9pm on weekdays and 10am–6pm on Saturday (official site).
Where to train, by neighbourhood
Daily Sweat files 12 of the 14 listings under Riga itself rather than a neighbourhood, so here they are by district, from their addresses. The Riga gym map shows every listing by location.
- Centre (Centra rajons): MyFitness Galerija Centrs on Audēju iela, MyFitness Galleria Riga on Dzirnavu iela, MyFitness Matīss, Gym! Origo on Stacijas laukums, Gym! Barons on Krišjāņa Barona iela and Global Fitness on Tērbatas iela (€25 in 2022).
- Latgales priekšpilsēta: MyFitness Upītis on Ernesta Birznieka-Upīša iela.
- Skanste (Vidzemes priekšpilsēta): Lemon Gym Skanste on Grostonas iela.
- Zemgales priekšpilsēta: Only Private Gym on Kuģu iela.
- Kurzemes rajons: Gym! Olimpia on Āzenes iela and Gym! 24/7, a second listing that links to Olimpia’s web page and whose reviewers mention the university campus next door, Gym! Imanta on Kurzemes prospekts, Gym! Imanta X on Jūrmalas gatve and MyFitness on Anniņmuižas bulvāris.
Daily Sweat records showers at 5 of the 14 Riga listings and a sauna at 6 (a blank means unconfirmed, not missing), and none has a pool on record. Seven are listed as open 24 hours.
How much does a gym day pass cost in Riga?
A gym day pass in Riga costs €5 to €30, typically €10, as of October 2026. Of the 14 gyms listed, 12 have a known price, and 10 of those charge €5 or €10 — but those two prices buy different things.
- €5, first visit only: all five MyFitness listings. The rate applies once per club, and later visits are €15, as a May 2026 visitor reported.
- €9.95–€10 for three days: the four priced Gym! listings (Origo, Barons, Olimpia and Gym! 24/7) and Lemon Gym Skanste. At both, the pass on record covers three days, not one.
- €25: Global Fitness on Tērbatas iela, from a September 2022 review, which found it “very steep at 25 euro”. A September 2025 reviewer praised its sauna and coaches, but no newer price is on record.
- €30: Only Private Gym, from a 2024 review.
The two most expensive prices are the oldest, so treat them as a guide and ask first. What drives the price is staff: the unstaffed 24-hour clubs are the cheapest per day, MyFitness charges €15 for a staffed visit once your €5 is used, and the private clubs with saunas sit at the top. Each gym’s page shows where its price came from and when it was last checked.
Buying a pass: what to know
MyFitness: pay at the desk, show a passport
9 of the 14 listed gyms sell the pass at the front desk, including all five MyFitness clubs. The desks check ID, and MyFitness’s own site (October 2026) says to bring a passport or ID card; in 2026 visitors with a driver’s licence or a photo bank card were refused at Matīss and Galerija Centrs. A 2025 visitor was given a free lock with the day pass.
Gym!: buy in the app before you go
4 listings sell online, all of them Gym! clubs. You register and buy in the Gym! app, which then opens the door with a QR code; nobody works on site. A 2025 reviewer warned that the registration email arrives in Latvian, so allow time, and in 2024 a visitor waited for the QR code to arrive with no one to ask. The Gym! Imanta listing says to register in the app before you arrive.
Lemon Gym: a kiosk at the door
Lemon Gym Skanste sells its pass at a self-registration kiosk by the entrance, with electronic payment and fingerprint entry. A 2023 reviewer mentioned a free try-out pass on the Lemon Gym website that needed ID and a passport — a free trial, not a day pass, and not confirmed since. The chain’s Imanta club has no confirmed day pass; ask there.
What the pass leaves out
No Riga listing is marked cash-only, and none records a towel or indoor-shoe rule — but a 2025 visitor found no towels at two MyFitness clubs, so pack one. Only Private Gym is the exception, with towels provided.
One message settles most of it
Hello, I’m visiting Riga and would like to train on [date]. What is your current single-visit price, can I pay at reception, and which ID do you accept?
Day pass or weekly pass?
Riga has real choices for a stay of a few days. Count your likely workouts first:
- MyFitness 7-day pass: €30 at three listings — Galerija Centrs, Galleria Riga and Upītis — or €4.29 a day if you go daily. Against €5 for the first visit and €15 after, it pays off from your third visit at one club.
- Gym! three-day pass: €9.95, valid on three consecutive days at every Gym! club in Latvia. An August 2025 reviewer noted that “it has to be used on 3 consecutive days, which isn’t very flexible”, but a 2023 business traveller used 3-day memberships through a two-week stay.
- Lemon Gym three-day pass: €10 at the Skanste kiosk, on 2024 evidence.
- Club-hopping: MyFitness’s €5 first visit applies once per club, and Daily Sweat lists five MyFitness clubs in Riga.
Staying for months? Gym!’s €19 a month needs a 12-month contract, which an August 2025 reviewer in Riga for a few months found impossible to sign. MyFitness’s site lists a full-time membership at €55 a month on an open-ended contract plus a €20 registration fee (€30 if you join at the club), though a May 2026 visitor was quoted €85 for a month at Matīss. Our day, weekly and monthly pass guide does the maths.
Chains and 24-hour gyms
Most Riga listings belong to one of three chains, and each works differently:
- MyFitness, with 5 listings: staffed desks, €5 for a first visit at each club, then €15 a visit or €30 for 7 days. Most open 6:30am–11pm Monday to Thursday and 8am–9pm at weekends; none is listed as open 24 hours.
- Gym!, with six listings under its name (Origo, Barons, Olimpia, Gym! 24/7, Imanta and Imanta X): unstaffed, open 24 hours, a €9.95 three-day pass in the app. A September 2026 review of Imanta X describes a powerlifting floor downstairs and Technogym machines upstairs.
- Lemon Gym, with 1 listing selling a pass: Skanste, open 24 hours, with a €10 three-day pass at the kiosk.
That makes seven Riga listings open 24 hours — the six Gym! listings and Lemon Gym Skanste — and every one is self-service, so a 3am session means buying through the app or the kiosk with no one to help. For an early start, MyFitness opens at 6:30am on weekdays and Global Fitness at 7am; for a late one, MyFitness stays open until 11pm Monday to Thursday. Still deciding whether your hotel gym will do? Find a Riga gym that fits your trip
Daily Sweat keeps every Riga gym with a confirmed day pass on one page, with the price, how to buy, opening hours and facilities for each. Start with the Riga gym list to filter by facility, or open the map to see what is near your hotel, then confirm visitor hours and ID rules with the gym before you set off.
Search a city and use the map to find convenient options. Where available, listings show day-pass and weekly prices, how to buy access, facilities, opening hours, photos, and visitor notes. You can compare nearby alternatives and use website or map links to plan your visit. Chain pages show every branch of a brand with a confirmed pass, and day pass prices compares typical costs by country and city.
Daily Sweat is free to browse, and you don’t need an account to search. It’s a directory: you buy access through the gym or the booking option described in its listing.
Some details will still need checking, particularly when a price is missing or your visit depends on a specific facility. Traveller contributions and corrections help keep the information useful.
The aim is simple: spend less time figuring out where you can train, and more time enjoying the place you came to visit.
