Madrid Gym Day Passes: Where to Train, Prices and Tips for Tourists

You’ve walked from the Prado to Plaza Mayor, and your hotel off Gran Vía has a treadmill and little else. You want one proper session before a late dinner, without a month’s membership.

Madrid gym day passes at a glance

This shortlist runs from €5 to €24.90 as of September 2026, across the areas visitors favour.

1. Centro Deportivo Municipal La Cebada: the cheapest listed day pass

Consider it if: price matters most and you’re staying around La Latina.

Centro Deportivo Municipal La Cebada, the municipal sports centre on Plaza de la Cebada in La Latina, sells a €5 single adult entry (entrada puntual) at the front desk, subject to capacity, according to its official site (September 2026). A June 2026 visitor paid the same.

The listing records showers, free weights, a power rack and a pool (ask whether your entry covers it). The visitor describes plenty of squat racks and dumbbells up to 35 kg, but a busy floor. It lists 7:00 AM – midnight daily (official site).

2. Fitup Serrano: cheap sessions in Salamanca

Consider it if: you’re staying in Salamanca and may train more than once.

Fitup Serrano, at Calle de Serrano 50 in Salamanca, sells a €6 day pass (pase diario) at the front desk, VAT included, according to the gym’s own price list (September 2026). It also lists €14 for a 10-day pass and €29.90 for a month, with no joining fee.

Hours are 7:00 AM – 10:30 PM on weekdays and 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Saturdays, but only 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM on Sundays (official club page).

3. VivaGym: four branches from Sol to Delicias

Consider it if: you’re near Sol or Embajadores and want a big chain gym.

VivaGym’s four Madrid branches, from Puerta del Sol to Paseo de las Delicias, are all listed at €10 a day, sold at the front desk at three of them. That price comes from a January 2026 review of VivaGym Plaza Mayor, so confirm it at the others.

• Plaza Mayor (Calle del Conde de Miranda 1): clean, with lots of cable machines, says that reviewer. Open 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM on weekdays (official club page).
• Puerta del Sol (Calle Mayor 6): open 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM on weekdays, but two July 2026 reviews report most machines broken, heat and overcrowding.
• Embajadores (Ronda de Valencia 1): the same hours; a December 2025 reviewer says day passes can be bought online, but a July 2026 review says the entry app often fails.
• Paseo de las Delicias (Calle de Juan de Vera 4): reviewers call it well equipped and spacious.

4. Basic-Fit: a €12 pass from the kiosk

Consider it if: you’d rather buy from a machine than at a desk, or want weights late on a weeknight.

Basic-Fit’s three Madrid clubs, on Calle de Atocha, in Chamberí and at Puerta de Toledo, are listed at €12 a day, paid by credit card at the digital kiosk in the entrance or online. July 2026 reviews of Basic-Fit Atocha confirm both the price and the kiosk.

• Atocha (Calle de Atocha 24): four choppy floors with weights everywhere, say reviewers; open 6:00 AM – midnight on weekdays (official club page).
• Fuencarral (Calle de Fuencarral 126) and Puerta de Toledo (Calle de Toledo 142): showers listed; open 7:00 AM – 10:30 PM on weekdays. At Puerta de Toledo, an April 2026 visitor with machine trouble got no help from staff.

5. Fitness Park: long hours, seven days a week

Consider it if: you train very early or late, or want room to lift.

Fitness Park’s three Madrid clubs, at Príncipe Pío, Méndez Álvaro and Río 2, are listed at €15 a visit, sold at the front desk, and all open 6:00 AM – 1:00 AM every day. The price comes from a June 2026 visitor to Fitness Park Príncipe Pío, so confirm it at the others.

• Príncipe Pío (Paseo de la Florida 2), attached to the station: a huge club with no shortage of dumbbells or plates, says that visitor (official club page).
• Méndez Álvaro (Calle de Méndez Álvaro 61): power rack listed.
• Río 2 (Plaza Río 2 shopping centre, Carabanchel).

6. Functional Training Studio Feel: a strength session in Chueca

Consider it if: you want to lift in a small gym near Chueca.

Functional Training Studio Feel, at Calle de Pérez Galdós 5 in Chueca, charged €18 for a day pass at the front desk in an April 2026 review, up from €12 in a 2025 review.

Reviewers describe a cosy gym with five racks but too few 20 kg plates (April 2026), plus free towels and lockers (2025); the listing records showers. Hours are 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM on weekdays but only 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM at weekends (official site).

7. Infinit Fitness Goya: 24-hour access, bought online

Consider it if: you want to train at any hour, or plan several sessions, near Goya.

Infinit Fitness Goya, at Calle de Lope de Rueda 17 in Salamanca, sells a single entry online for €24.90, the highest listed price in Madrid. Its official club page (September 2026) also showed a €15 special offer with limited spots.

The club is open 24 hours, and its listing records free weights and a power rack. There’s no joining fee or commitment, and its multi-entry bundles (bonos, below) expire 8 weeks after purchase (official club page; chain page).

How much does a gym day pass cost in Madrid?

A gym day pass in Madrid costs €5 to €24.90, typically €12, as of September 2026. That covers the 15 of 18 day-pass listings with a known price. What drives the difference:

• Public or private. The municipal La Cebada charges €5, the lowest price listed.
• Chain and branch. VivaGym is listed at €10, Basic-Fit at €12 and Fitness Park at €15, each confirmed at one club and carried over to the others.
• Independents. Fitup Serrano charges €6, Body Factory by Plaza de España €9 (paid through a hotel, in a 2025 review) and Functional Training Studio Feel €18.
• Round-the-clock access. Infinit Fitness Goya, open 24 hours, charges €24.90.

None of the 18 offers a free trial. The other three sell passes without a day price yet: Opera Gym by Ópera, Estrato Fitness & Weightlifting in Retiro and AltaFit Puerta de Toledo (week pass only).

Of the 18 listings, 7 record free weights and 5 a power rack. The five with a rack are La Cebada, Body Factory, Fitness Park Méndez Álvaro, Functional Training Studio Feel and Infinit Fitness Goya.

Only 5 record showers (La Cebada, Basic-Fit Fuencarral and Puerta de Toledo, Functional Training Studio Feel and Estrato) and 1 a pool (La Cebada); none records a sauna.

Fitup Serrano’s €6 pass is a bargain in Salamanca, less so from Sol. Ask your hotel too (a 2025 reviewer got a €9 Body Factory pass through theirs), and read hotel gym vs gym day pass if its gym covers the basics.

Day pass or weekly pass?

Only one Madrid listing on Daily Sweat has a week price as of September 2026, but if you’ll train three or more times, Fitup Serrano’s €14 10-day pass costs less than three €6 day passes. Longer passes with a price:

AltaFit Puerta de Toledo, in Arganzuela, sells a €25 week pass at the front desk, per a review from around June 2026 (official club page; AltaFit chain page). Infinit’s bundle prices are from its official club page (September 2026).

VivaGym Puerta del Sol and Embajadores also sell 7-day passes, price not listed, though July 2026 reviews describe re-entry trouble and disputes. Opera Gym offers 1-, 3-, 7- and 10-day passes, prices not quoted (a July 2026 review). Our day, week or month guide covers the break-even maths.

Rules that catch visitors out in Madrid

Madrid’s listings carry few formal rules: none of the 18 requires indoor shoes or a towel, and none is cash-only. Instead, watch for:

• Kiosks and apps. Basic-Fit sells by credit card at an entrance kiosk, and one April 2026 visitor with machine trouble got no staff help; a July 2026 review of VivaGym Embajadores says its entry app often fails.
• Sunday hours. Fitup Serrano, VivaGym Paseo de las Delicias and Functional Training Studio Feel close at 2:00 PM; VivaGym Plaza Mayor, AltaFit Puerta de Toledo and Opera Gym at 3:00 PM. Fitness Park stays open until 1:00 AM.
• Capacity and ID. La Cebada’s entry is subject to capacity; a June 2026 visitor advises ID and a padlock.
• Towels. No listing requires one, but a February 2026 member at Fitness Park Río 2 reports penalties under a strict towel rule.

What to check before leaving your hotel

Check hours, price and payment before you set off:

• Today’s hours, especially on a Sunday.
• Your branch’s price, as each chain price was confirmed at one club.
• A credit card for Basic-Fit’s kiosk, and a charged phone for online passes or entry apps.
• ID, a padlock, a towel and water.
