Istanbul Gym Day Passes: Where to Train, Prices and Tips for Tourists

By Daily Sweat10 min read

Your Sultanahmet hotel has a treadmill and light dumbbells, and you want a proper session before an evening Bosphorus ferry. Can you walk into an Istanbul gym and pay for the day?

Quick answer

Yes: as of September 2026, 20 Istanbul gyms on Daily Sweat sell a day pass, from ₺300 to ₺3,000 and typically ₺600 across the 10 priced listings checked in the past year (roughly US$12 at September 2026 exchange rates). All 20 sell it at the front desk, and lira prices rise fast, so confirm the price when you arrive. The rule that most often catches visitors out is payment: bring cash, because a November 2025 review says MACFit Cevahir refuses non-Turkish credit cards.

This guide picks seven gyms across Istanbul’s European and Asian sides, with the month each price was reported. For the full list, see every Istanbul gym with a day pass, or browse gyms across Turkey.

Prices and policies come from Daily Sweat’s listings as of September 2026. Each gym’s page shows where its price came from and when it was last checked — confirm before you travel, especially in peak season.

Daily Sweat listings: Focus Fitness Sports Center, Flash Gym, Hornets Gym, Red Line Fitness Sultanahmet, Red Line Fitness, Fitness Fabrik, MACFit Cevahir and Beatus Gym.

1. Focus Fitness Sports Center: a ₺300 cash pass off İstiklal

Consider it if: you’re staying around Taksim or İstiklal Avenue and price matters most.

Focus Fitness Sports Center, on the 3rd floor at No. 108 İstiklal Avenue in Beyoğlu, charged ₺300 in cash or ₺360 by card for a day pass at the front desk, according to a June 2026 review.

You reach it through a small gallery off İstiklal, one floor below Flash Gym. The reviewer found it small and basic, and smelling of cigarette smoke that day. Hours are 9:30 AM – 10:00 PM Monday to Saturday and 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Sundays.

Before you go: carry lira in cash, since the card price was higher.

2. Flash Gym: day and week passes above İstiklal

Consider it if: you’re in Beyoğlu for several days and want to train more than once.

Flash Gym, on the 4th floor of the Aznavur Pasajı arcade at No. 108 İstiklal Avenue near Taksim, sells a ₺400 day pass and a ₺1,500 week pass at the front desk, according to three reviews from June and July 2026.

Reviewers describe an old-school but clean gym with daily, 3-day and weekly passes for tourists. Hours are 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM on weekdays and 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM on Saturdays; it’s closed on Sundays.

Before you go: training two or three times? Ask the price of the 3-day pass, which wasn’t captured.

3. Hornets Gym: a Kadıköy workout on the Asian side

Consider it if: you’re staying in Kadıköy, on the Asian side.

Hornets Gym, on Elmalıçeşme Sokak in Rasimpaşa, Kadıköy, sold a ₺500 day pass at the front desk, according to an October 2025 review. It’s the only one of the 20 Istanbul listings that requires a towel: the reviewer says staff won’t let you in without one.

That review praises the machines and calls the weights section older; an August 2026 visitor found it hot, with fans only. Hours are 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM on weekdays, 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM on Saturdays and 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM on Sundays (official site).

Before you go: pack a towel, and confirm the October 2025 price.

4. Red Line Fitness: towel and water included in the old city

Consider it if: you’re staying in Sultanahmet or elsewhere in Fatih and like an early start.

Red Line Fitness Sultanahmet, on Çatalçeşme Sokak in Alemdar, sells a ₺600 day pass at the front desk, according to reviews from March and July 2026. The July visitor got a disposable towel and water with it; the March one, a locker.

Reviewers describe it as clean and well ventilated, with new machines, and the listing records showers. It opens 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM on Saturdays.

The second branch, Red Line Fitness on Börekçi Ali Sokak in Mimar Kemalettin, also charges ₺600 at the front desk. Red Line’s official webshop (September 2026) lists a “daily sports package” at that price with a towel and water, plus 3 days for ₺1,650 and a week for ₺3,000 (official site). This branch opens 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM on weekdays, with the same Saturday hours.

Before you go: plan another gym for Sunday; both branches are listed as closed.

5. Fitness Fabrik: free weights for heavy lifting in Nişantaşı

Consider it if: you want a serious strength session near Nişantaşı.

Fitness Fabrik, on Ihlamur Yolu Sokak in Teşvikiye, Nişantaşı, charged ₺900 for a day pass at the front desk, according to a review from 2025.

That reviewer rated the equipment highly and found plenty of free weights, enough to go heavy, plus friendly trainers (and a dog). Check opening hours on the gym’s page.

Before you go: confirm the price at the desk; the ₺900 figure is about a year old.

6. MACFit Cevahir: a big chain club, if you bring cash

Consider it if: you want a large chain club with long weekday hours in Şişli.

MACFit Cevahir, inside the Cevahir mall on Büyükdere Caddesi in Şişli, sells a tourist day pass at the front desk for about €25, according to a November 2025 review. The catch: the same review says the desk refuses non-Turkish credit cards, so bring cash.

Hours are 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM at weekends (official club page).

Before you go: take enough lira in cash, and ask for the price in lira before you pay.

7. Beatus Gym: a hotel gym with a sauna and pool

Consider it if: you want a sauna and pool with your session and price matters less.

Beatus Gym, a hotel gym on the 7th floor at Halaskargazi Caddesi 63 in Şişli, charges ₺3,000 on a weekday or ₺4,000 at the weekend at the front desk, sauna and pool included, according to a July 2026 review. The weekday price is the top of Istanbul’s range on Daily Sweat.

The reviewer calls the gym itself basic. It opens 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM every day.

Before you go: go on a weekday if you can, when the rate is lower.

How much does a gym day pass cost in Istanbul?

A gym day pass in Istanbul costs ₺300 to ₺3,000, typically ₺600, as of September 2026. That range covers the 10 priced listings checked in the past year. One of the 3 listings flagged as possibly outdated, last checked in May 2024, shows ₺250; this may have changed.

  • Budget, ₺300–₺400: Focus Fitness (₺300 cash), Weider Harbiye Fitness Center (₺300, July 2025) and Flash Gym (₺400).
  • Mid-range, ₺500–₺900: Hornets Gym (₺500), both Red Line branches (₺600), ACTIVE GYM in Şişli (₺750, 2025), and Fitness Fabrik and Gym & Tonic (₺900).
  • Top end, ₺3,000: Beatus Gym, a hotel gym with a sauna and pool, or ₺4,000 at weekends.

Payment and timing matter too. Focus Fitness charged ₺360 by card, and lira prices rise quickly: earlier visitors paid ₺400 at Gym & Tonic in 2023, and a June 2026 review puts it at ₺900. None of the 20 listings offers a free trial.

How to choose the right Istanbul gym

Pick your side of the city and neighbourhood first, then match the equipment and compare the total cost. For the general method, see how to find a gym day pass while travelling.

Start with your neighbourhood

Fatih (the old city) and Beyoğlu face each other across the Golden Horn; Kadıköy is on the Asian side. Check the Istanbul gym map for what’s closest to your hotel, or start here:

Match the equipment to your workout

Facility details are thin: of the 20 listings, 2 record showers, 2 a pool and 1 a sauna, and none yet confirms free weights or a power rack. For lifting, try Fitness Fabrik; for a pool, Beatus Gym (which adds a sauna) or Le Ciel. Red Line Fitness Sultanahmet and Airport Form Center list showers.

Compare the total cost

Your practical budget is:

Pass price + return transport + any card surcharge or weekend rate.

Staying in the old city? Red Line’s ₺600 pass, towel and water included, can beat a cheaper one in Beyoğlu once you add the journey. If your hotel has a gym, weigh it first with our hotel gym vs day pass guide.

Day pass or weekly pass?

Buy a week pass only if you’ll train often. Two of the 20 Istanbul listings sell one as of September 2026, and it becomes the cheaper option from the fourth visit at Flash Gym and the sixth at Red Line Fitness:

GymDay passWeek passWeek pass is cheaper from
Flash Gym₺400₺1,500The fourth visit
Red Line Fitness₺600₺3,000The sixth visit (equal at five)

Red Line is closed on Sundays, so its week pass suits near-daily training; for three sessions, its ₺1,650 three-day package costs less than three day passes. Ask whether a package means consecutive days.

Short stays aren’t always cheap: a July 2026 reviewer at NOA Gym near Taksim was quoted €150 for five days. Staying a month? Airport Form Center in Moda lists membership at ₺1,750 a month on its official site (September 2026). Our day, week or month guide walks through the maths.

Rules that catch visitors out in Istanbul

Payment catches out the most visitors: carry Turkish lira in cash.

  • Cash, not foreign cards. A November 2025 review says MACFit Cevahir refuses non-Turkish credit cards, Focus Fitness charged more by card in June 2026, and a 2024 review says Mood City Club took cash only. None of the 20 listings is formally marked cash-only, so ask.
  • Bring a towel. Only 1 of the 20 listings requires one: Hornets Gym in Kadıköy. Red Line’s pass includes one.
  • Sunday closures. Flash Gym, both Red Line branches, Gym & Tonic and Fitslim are listed as closed on Sundays.
  • Finding the door. Focus Fitness and Flash Gym are upstairs in an arcade off İstiklal, Beatus Gym is on a hotel’s 7th floor, and MACFit is inside the Cevahir mall.

Some worries don’t apply: none of the 20 listings records an indoor-shoe rule, and none is women-only.

What to check before leaving your hotel

Confirm the price, how to pay and today’s hours before you set off. Check:

  • Today’s hours on the gym’s Daily Sweat page, especially on a Sunday.
  • The month of the price you’re relying on, then confirm it at the desk.
  • Turkish lira in cash, in case the desk won’t take your card.
  • A towel (essential at Hornets Gym) and water.

If anything is unclear, send a short message first:

Hello, I’m visiting Istanbul and would like to train on [date]. Do you sell a day pass, and what does it cost today? Can I pay with a foreign card, or should I bring cash? Do I need a towel?
Günlük giriş var mı? (“Is there a day pass?”)

Find an Istanbul gym that fits your trip

Daily Sweat keeps every Istanbul gym with a confirmed day pass on one page, with the price, how to buy, opening hours and facilities for each. Start with the Istanbul gym list to filter by facility, or open the map to see what is near your hotel, then confirm visitor hours and ID rules with the gym before you set off.

Search a city and use the map to find convenient options. Where available, listings show day-pass and weekly prices, how to buy access, facilities, opening hours, photos, and visitor notes. You can compare nearby alternatives and use website or map links to plan your visit. Chain pages show every branch of a brand with a confirmed pass, and day pass prices compares typical costs by country and city.

Daily Sweat is free to browse, and you don’t need an account to search. It’s a directory: you buy access through the gym or the booking option described in its listing.

Some details will still need checking, particularly when a price is missing or your visit depends on a specific facility. Traveller contributions and corrections help keep the information useful.

The aim is simple: spend less time figuring out where you can train, and more time enjoying the place you came to visit.
