You’re in Barcelona for a few days, the hotel gym is a treadmill and a rack of light dumbbells, and you want a proper session before the beach. Plenty of Barcelona gyms will let you pay for a single day: most charge €10 to €15 at the desk, and a handful charge less than €10.
Tourists can buy a gym day pass in Barcelona: as of October 2026, Daily Sweat lists 49 Barcelona gyms with one, and the 17 with a known price charge from €6 to €21, with €12 the typical price. You buy at the club: at the front desk at 48 of the 49, and at a kiosk at the other; VivaGym also sells its passes online. The catch: Sunday hours are short (many clubs close at 2pm or 3pm), and two central DiR clubs are closed all weekend, so check the day’s hours before you set off.
Below: eight gyms worth the trip, then which ones are near your hotel, what passes cost, how buying works, when a multi-day pass beats paying by the day, and how the chains treat visitors. For every listing, see all Barcelona gyms with a day pass or the map, or start from the Spain page.
Eight Barcelona gyms worth the trip
From €6 independents and budget chains to the typical €10–€15 and two pool-and-sauna options, most of them in the Eixample, where many visitors stay. Each gym’s card shows the listing’s current price and when it was last checked.
1. GIMNÀS FITUP Paral·lel — €6, the cheapest pass in the city
GIMNÀS FITUP Paral·lel, at Carrer de Vila i Vilà 50–52 in Sants-Montjuïc, suits Paral·lel, Poble-sec or Sant Antoni; an August 2026 review confirms €6 a day, bought through the app. The same price list has a 10-day pass for €14 and a monthly rate of €29.90 with no joining fee. Hours are 7am–10:30pm on weekdays, 9am–7:30pm on Saturdays and 9am–2:30pm on Sundays (official site).
2. Synergym Arenes — a budget chain club for €8.99
Synergym Arenes, at Carrer de la Diputació 16 near Plaça d’Espanya, charged an August 2026 visitor “only 8.99 euro for a day pass”, and visitors in May and June 2026 also used day passes. It is the only one of the three Synergym clubs in Barcelona with a recorded price. Weekend hours are 9am–6pm on Saturdays and 9am–2pm on Sundays (official site). See the Synergym chain page for the El Clot and Maragall clubs.
3. BCN Fitness — €9 and open until 11pm every day
BCN Fitness, at Carrer d’Aragó 322 in the central Eixample, charges €9 for a day pass at the gym. A tourist who visited twice called the fee “very reasonable” in May 2026, and a July 2026 visitor called it “a decent gym for under 10 EUR day pass.” It has locker rooms and free weights; hours are 7am–11pm on weekdays and 9am–11pm at weekends (official site).
4. BDiR Llúria — €10 on Avinguda Diagonal, weekdays only
BDiR Llúria, at Avinguda Diagonal 426, sold an Australian tourist staying nearby a €10 day pass in September 2025: “just needed to give them my passport and pay 10 euros.” Hours are 7am–10:30pm on weekdays, and the club is closed on Saturdays and Sundays (official site). DiR’s Granados club on Carrer de Mallorca keeps the same hours; a May 2025 review put its single entry at €10 plus €0.10 for the access card. See the DiR chain page.
5. Basic-Fit 24/7 Gran Via — €12 at any hour
Basic-Fit 24/7, at Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes 593, suits training early, late or in the middle of the night. A January 2026 review mentions “a pay-as-you-go option (12 EUR/day)”, and an August 2026 visitor bought a day ticket at the door, “not cheap but worth the price.” You can also buy it in the app (club page). The club has a wide range of machines. See the Basic-Fit chain page for its other five Barcelona clubs.
6. CEM Bac de Roda — a pool and sauna for €12.65
CEM Bac de Roda, at Rambla de Guipúscoa 25, is worth the trip if you want a swim and a sauna with your workout: it sells a single adult entry (entrada puntual) for €12.65, according to the centre’s own site. Hours are 6:30am–11:30pm on weekdays, 8am–9pm on Saturdays and 9am–8pm on Sundays, among the longest Sunday hours of the picks (official site).
7. COSMOFIT — a central €15 pass on Roger de Llúria
COSMOFIT, at Carrer de Roger de Llúria 40, charged that July 2026 visitor €15. In September 2026 the club’s site also ran a “free day pass” promotion alongside membership at €49 a month with no joining fee. Hours are 7am–10pm on weekdays, 9am–8pm on Saturdays and 9am–3pm on Sundays (official site).
8. Aiguajoc — gym, pool and sauna for €21
Aiguajoc, at Carrer del Comte Borrell 21–33, charged a July 2026 visitor €21 for a day pass, “the highest I have ever seen.” The centre is built around its pool, with showers too, but a January 2026 reviewer says the pool is small, must be booked and is usually full, and a June 2026 reviewer describes a towel rule enforced in the sauna. Hours are 6:30am–10pm on weekdays, 8am–9pm on Saturdays and 8am–3pm on Sundays (official site).
Where to train, by neighbourhood
A €6 pass across the city can cost more time than a €12 pass round the corner. The Barcelona gym map shows every listing by location.
- Ciutat Vella (Gothic Quarter, El Born, La Rambla): CEM Colom on La Rambla (€20 in August 2025, with one squat rack) and OKEYMAS CEM Parc de la Ciutadella, a municipal centre with a pool and sauna that a July 2026 review confirms sells day passes, price not yet listed.
- Central Eixample: COSMOFIT (€15), BCN Fitness (€9), Basic-Fit 24/7 Gran Via (€12) and We/On Urquinaona, a high-end club with a pool, sauna and steam room, where the only short-stay price on record is a week pass.
- Western Eixample and Sant Antoni: Synergym Arenes (€8.99), Aiguajoc (€21) and VivaGym Sant Antoni, one of three Barcelona listings with a power rack.
- Diagonal and Gràcia: BDiR Llúria (€10, weekdays only) and Fitness Park Rosselló, where a February 2026 visitor bought a day pass, price not stated.
- Sagrada Família: VivaGym Sagrada Familia, where a March 2026 visitor signed up for a tourist day pass online (“a bit of a process”) with help from reception.
- Poblenou and Sant Martí: CEM Bac de Roda (€12.65, pool and sauna), CEM Vintró (€10) and Workshop Fitness Club BCN, praised for its free weights, where two 2026 visitors bought day passes, price not stated.
- Paral·lel and Poble-sec: GIMNÀS FITUP Paral·lel (€6).
Of the 49 listings, Daily Sweat records a pool at 9, free weights at 8, a sauna at 6, showers at 5 and a power rack at 3; a blank means unconfirmed, not missing. For a swim, the municipal sports centres (CEM Bac de Roda, CEM Júpiter), Nova Icària and Aiguajoc are the priced options with a pool. For heavy lifting, Fitness Park’s Casanova club is described by a December 2025 reviewer as having sturdy racks and heavy dumbbells. Short on time? How much does a gym day pass cost in Barcelona?
A gym day pass in Barcelona costs €6 to €21, typically €12, as of October 2026. Of the 49 gyms listed, 17 have a known price, mostly in three tiers:
- Under €10: GIMNÀS FITUP Paral·lel (€6), Synergym Arenes (€8.99) and BCN Fitness (€9).
- €10–€13: BDiR Llúria and BDiR Granados, CEM Vintró and Entrena-T 24H Moianès at €10; Basic-Fit at €11.99–€12; CEM Bac de Roda at €12.65; and Nova Icària Esport & Fit at €13.
- €15 and up: COSMOFIT, STG Fitness Club (including a coach’s check of your plan), CEM Júpiter and Fitness Park on Carrer de París at €15; CEM Colom on La Rambla at €20; and Aiguajoc at €21.
Some prices are old: Entrena-T’s €10 dates from November 2023, Nova Icària’s €13 from May 2024 and CEM Colom’s €20 from August 2025. Rates also vary between branches of the same chain: a September 2024 reviewer was charged €19 for a single visit at Anytime Fitness Poblenou against €10 at the chain’s Badalona club. Each gym’s page shows where its price came from and when it was last checked — confirm before you travel, especially in summer.
Buying a pass: what to know
Pay at the desk, a kiosk or online
48 of the 49 listings sell the pass at the front desk, and none is marked cash-only; Basic-Fit’s kiosk at the Sardenya club takes a debit card, and VivaGym sells tourist access online first. Carry ID: BDiR Llúria asked a September 2025 visitor for a passport, and VivaGym’s online registration asks for a passport number. Check the day’s hours — of the picks, Synergym Arenes closes at 2pm on Sundays, FITUP at 2:30pm and COSMOFIT and Aiguajoc at 3pm, and BDiR Llúria and BDiR Granados are closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
A free trial is not a visitor pass
Anytime Fitness’s Ciutadella club, its Rocafort club and its Poblenou club advertise a prueba gratis; a May 2026 visitor used the one-day trial at Ciutadella. Treat a free first visit as a bonus and confirm the terms: a December 2025 visitor to CEM Vintró who expected one was charged €10.
What the pass leaves out
BCN Fitness’s house rules ask for a lock and a towel, and Aiguajoc enforces a towel rule in the sauna, so pack both, with training shoes, plus swimwear and a cap if you’re heading to a pool. See also our carry-on gym packing list and how to find a gym day pass while travelling.
One message settles most of it
Hello, I’m visiting Barcelona and would like to train today. Do you sell a day pass, how much is it, and can I pay by card?
¿Tenéis entrada de un día? “Do you have a one-day pass?”
Day pass or multi-day pass?
If you’ll train more than twice, a multi-day pass can pay off quickly. Three are on record:
- GIMNÀS FITUP Paral·lel: a 10-day pass for €14 on the gym’s own price list, cheaper than three €6 day passes.
- STG Fitness Club: a 15-day pass for €45 against a €15 day pass, so it pays off from your fourth visit.
- We/On Urquinaona: a €175 week pass, according to a May 2026 review whose author called it expensive; the club has a pool, sauna and steam room.
Ask whether a multi-day pass means consecutive days or a set number of visits; our day, weekly and monthly pass guide does the maths.
Barcelona’s gym chains and day passes
34 of the 49 Barcelona listings belong to a chain, and each chain handles visitors differently:
- VivaGym (10 clubs): sells tourist day access online. No Barcelona price is recorded; the chain charged €11.90 at a Lisbon club in June 2026, and registration asks for a passport number.
- Basic-Fit (6 clubs): €11.99–€12 for a day pass, bought at the club kiosk or in the app; four of the six are open 24 hours.
- Fitness Park (5 clubs): day passes at the desk during staffed hours; the Carrer de París club is listed at €15, and all five open 6am–1am.
- Synergym (3 clubs) and DiR (3 clubs): €8.99 at Synergym Arenes; €10 at DiR, with a passport.
- Anytime Fitness (4 clubs): all four are open 24 hours, but rates are set by each branch; three advertise a free trial (prueba gratis) rather than publishing a paid day rate.

Find a Barcelona gym that fits your trip
Daily Sweat keeps every Barcelona gym with a confirmed day pass on one page, with the price, how to buy, opening hours and facilities for each. Start with the Barcelona gym list to filter by facility, or open the map to see what is near your hotel, then confirm visitor hours and ID rules with the gym before you set off.
Search a city and use the map to find convenient options. Where available, listings show day-pass and weekly prices, how to buy access, facilities, opening hours, photos, and visitor notes. You can compare nearby alternatives and use website or map links to plan your visit. Chain pages show every branch of a brand with a confirmed pass, and day pass prices compares typical costs by country and city.
Daily Sweat is free to browse, and you don’t need an account to search. It’s a directory: you buy access through the gym or the booking option described in its listing.
Some details will still need checking, particularly when a price is missing or your visit depends on a specific facility. Traveller contributions and corrections help keep the information useful.
The aim is simple: spend less time figuring out where you can train, and more time enjoying the place you came to visit.
