Madrid Gym Day Passes: Where to Train, Prices and Tips for Tourists

Bởi Daily Sweat9 phút đọc

You’ve walked from the Prado to Plaza Mayor, and your hotel off Gran Vía has a treadmill and little else. You want one proper session before a late dinner, without a month’s membership.

Quick answer

Yes: as of September 2026, 18 Madrid gyms on Daily Sweat sell a day pass, from €5 to €24.90 and typically €12 (roughly US$14 at September 2026 exchange rates). Most sell it at the front desk (16 of the 18). What catches visitors out is self-service: Basic-Fit sells its pass by credit card at an entrance kiosk, and an April 2026 visitor with machine trouble there got no staff help.

Below: seven gyms worth the trip, then which ones are near your hotel, what passes cost, how buying works, and when a longer pass beats paying by the day. For every listing, see all Madrid gyms with a day pass or the map, or the Spain page.

Seven Madrid gyms worth the trip

From €5 to €24.90, across the areas visitors favour. Chains supply most of Madrid’s day passes: VivaGym has 4 listings, Fitness Park and Basic-Fit 3 each, and Infinit Fitness and AltaFit 1 each. Each gym’s card shows the listing’s current price and when it was last checked.

1. Centro Deportivo Municipal La Cebada — the cheapest listed day pass

  1. Centro Deportivo Municipal La CebadaPl. de la Cebada, Madrid5.00 EUR day passShowersPoolFree weightsChecked Sep 2026€5 at the municipal sports centre in La Latina, with plenty of squat racks.

Centro Deportivo Municipal La Cebada, on Plaza de la Cebada in La Latina, sells a €5 single adult entry (entrada puntual) at the front desk, subject to capacity, according to its official site (September 2026); a June 2026 visitor paid the same and describes dumbbells up to 35 kg but a busy floor. The listing records showers, free weights, a power rack and a pool (ask whether your entry covers it). It lists 7:00 AM – midnight daily (official site).

Before you go: bring ID and a padlock, as the June 2026 visitor advises.

2. Fitup Serrano — cheap sessions in Salamanca

  1. Fitup SerranoC. de Serrano, Madrid6.00 EUR day passChecked Sep 2026€6 a day or €14 for ten days in Salamanca, with no joining fee.

Fitup Serrano, at Calle de Serrano 50, sells a €6 day pass (pase diario) at the front desk, VAT included, according to the gym’s own price list (September 2026), which also lists €14 for a 10-day pass and €29.90 for a month. Hours are 7:00 AM – 10:30 PM on weekdays and 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Saturdays, but only 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM on Sundays (official club page).

Before you go: ask about showers and lockers; the listing has no facility details yet.

3. VivaGym — four branches from Sol to Delicias

  1. Gimnasio VivaGym Plaza MayorVivaGymC. del Conde de Miranda, Madrid10.00 EUR day passChecked Sep 2026€10 at four branches from Sol to Delicias; Plaza Mayor is clean, with lots of cables.

VivaGym’s four Madrid branches are all listed at €10 a day, sold at the front desk at three of them. That price comes from a January 2026 review of VivaGym Plaza Mayor (Calle del Conde de Miranda 1, open 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM on weekdays; official club page), so confirm it at the others.

Puerta del Sol (Calle Mayor 6) opens 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM on weekdays, but two July 2026 reviews report most machines broken, heat and overcrowding. Embajadores (Ronda de Valencia 1) keeps the same hours; a December 2025 reviewer says day passes can be bought online, but a July 2026 review says the entry app often fails. Reviewers call Paseo de las Delicias (Calle de Juan de Vera 4) well equipped and spacious.

Before you go: if both central branches are close, choose Plaza Mayor over Puerta del Sol.

4. Basic-Fit — a €12 pass from the kiosk

  1. Basic-FitBasic-FitC. de Atocha, Madrid12.00 EUR day passFree weightsChecked Sep 2026€12 by card at the kiosk, with weights late on weeknights.

Basic-Fit’s three Madrid clubs are listed at €12 a day, paid by credit card at the digital kiosk in the entrance or online, and July 2026 reviews of Basic-Fit Atocha (Calle de Atocha 24) confirm both: four choppy floors with weights everywhere, say reviewers, open 6:00 AM – midnight on weekdays (official club page). Fuencarral (Calle de Fuencarral 126, Chamberí) and Puerta de Toledo (Calle de Toledo 142) list showers and open 7:00 AM – 10:30 PM on weekdays; at Puerta de Toledo, an April 2026 visitor with machine trouble got no help from staff.

Before you go: bring water; a July 2026 reviewer says day-pass holders at Atocha can’t use the fountain.

5. Fitness Park — long hours, seven days a week

  1. Fitness Park Madrid - Principe PioFitness ParkP.º de la Florida, Madrid15.00 EUR day passChecked Sep 2026€15 and open 6am–1am every day, with no shortage of dumbbells at Príncipe Pío.

Fitness Park’s three Madrid clubs are listed at €15 a visit, sold at the front desk, and all open 6:00 AM – 1:00 AM every day. The price comes from a June 2026 visitor to Fitness Park Príncipe Pío (Paseo de la Florida 2, attached to the station), who found a huge club with plenty of plates (official club page), so confirm it at Méndez Álvaro (Calle de Méndez Álvaro 61; power rack listed) and Río 2 (Plaza Río 2 shopping centre, Carabanchel).

Before you go: pack a towel and use it; a February 2026 member at Río 2 reports penalties under a strict towel rule.

6. Functional Training Studio Feel — a strength session in Chueca

  1. FUNCTIONAL TRAINING STUDIO FEELC. de Pérez Galdós, Madrid18.00 EUR day passShowersChecked Sep 2026€18 for a cosy strength gym with five racks in Chueca.

Functional Training Studio Feel, at Calle de Pérez Galdós 5, charged €18 for a day pass at the front desk in an April 2026 review, up from €12 in a 2025 review. Reviewers note too few 20 kg plates (April 2026), plus free towels and lockers (2025); the listing records showers. Hours are 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM on weekdays but only 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM at weekends (official site).

Before you go: plan a weekday visit if you can.

7. Infinit Fitness Goya — 24-hour access, bought online

  1. Gimnasio Infinit Fitness Goya - Abierto 24 horasInfinit FitnessC. de Lope de Rueda, Madrid24.90 EUR day passFree weightsChecked Sep 2026€24.90 online for 24-hour access near Goya; check for the €15 offer first.

Infinit Fitness Goya, at Calle de Lope de Rueda 17 in Salamanca, sells a single entry online for €24.90, the highest listed price in Madrid; its official club page (September 2026) also showed a €15 special offer with limited spots. The listing records free weights and a power rack. There’s no joining fee or commitment, and its multi-entry bundles (bonos, below) expire 8 weeks after purchase (official club page; chain page).

Before you go: check the club page for the €15 offer before paying €24.90.

Where to train, by neighbourhood

Your practical budget is the pass price plus return transport plus a padlock or towel if you need one: Fitup Serrano’s €6 pass is a bargain in Salamanca, less so from Sol. Check the Madrid gym map, or start here:

  • Sol, Plaza Mayor and Ópera: VivaGym Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor (€10), Basic-Fit Atocha (€12) and Opera Gym (price not listed).
  • La Latina and Puerta de Toledo: La Cebada (€5), Basic-Fit Puerta de Toledo (€12) and AltaFit Puerta de Toledo (€25 a week).
  • Chueca: Functional Training Studio Feel (€18).
  • Chamberí: Basic-Fit Fuencarral (€12).
  • Salamanca: Fitup Serrano (€6) and Infinit Fitness Goya (€24.90).
  • Retiro: Estrato Fitness & Weightlifting (price not listed).
  • Plaza de España and Príncipe Pío: Body Factory (€9) and Fitness Park Príncipe Pío (€15).
  • Embajadores, Delicias and Méndez Álvaro: VivaGym Embajadores and Paseo de las Delicias (€10), and Fitness Park Méndez Álvaro (€15).

Of the 18 listings, 7 record free weights and 5 a power rack; the five with a power rack are La Cebada, Body Factory, Fitness Park Méndez Álvaro, Functional Training Studio Feel and Infinit Fitness Goya. Only 5 record showers (La Cebada, Basic-Fit Fuencarral and Puerta de Toledo, Functional Training Studio Feel and Estrato) and 1 a pool (La Cebada); none records a sauna. For the general method, see how to find a gym day pass while travelling, and read hotel gym vs gym day pass if your hotel’s gym covers the basics.

How much does a gym day pass cost in Madrid?

A gym day pass in Madrid costs €5 to €24.90, typically €12, as of September 2026. That covers the 15 of 18 day-pass listings with a known price. What drives the difference:

  • Public or private. The municipal La Cebada charges €5, the lowest price listed.
  • Chain and branch. VivaGym is listed at €10, Basic-Fit at €12 and Fitness Park at €15, each confirmed at one club and carried over to the others.
  • Independents. Fitup Serrano charges €6, Body Factory by Plaza de España €9 (paid through a hotel, in a 2025 review — ask yours) and Functional Training Studio Feel €18.
  • Round-the-clock access. Infinit Fitness Goya, open 24 hours, charges €24.90.

The other three sell passes without a day price yet: Opera Gym by Ópera, Estrato Fitness & Weightlifting in Retiro and AltaFit Puerta de Toledo (week pass only). Each gym’s page shows where its price came from and when it was last checked.

Buying a pass: what to know

At the desk, a kiosk or an app

16 of the 18 sell at the front desk, and none offers a free trial or is cash-only. Basic-Fit sells by credit card at an entrance kiosk, and one April 2026 visitor with machine trouble got no staff help; Infinit sells online, and a July 2026 review of VivaGym Embajadores says its entry app often fails. Bring a credit card and a charged phone, and check your branch’s price, as each chain price was confirmed at one club. La Cebada’s entry is subject to capacity.

What the pass leaves out

None of the 18 listings requires indoor shoes or a towel, but a February 2026 member at Fitness Park Río 2 reports penalties under a strict towel rule, and Basic-Fit Atocha’s fountain is off-limits to day-pass holders. Pack ID, a padlock, a towel and water. Sunday hours are short: Fitup Serrano, VivaGym Paseo de las Delicias and Functional Training Studio Feel close at 2:00 PM; VivaGym Plaza Mayor, AltaFit Puerta de Toledo and Opera Gym at 3:00 PM; Fitness Park stays open until 1:00 AM. One message settles most of it

Hello, I’m visiting Madrid and would like to train on [date]. Do you sell a day pass, and how much is it? Can I pay by card, and do I need ID, a padlock or a towel?
¿Tenéis pase diario? (Do you have a day pass?)

Day pass or weekly pass?

Only one Madrid listing on Daily Sweat has a week price as of September 2026, but if you’ll train three or more times, Fitup Serrano’s €14 10-day pass costs less than three €6 day passes. Longer passes with a price:

GymDay passLonger pass
Fitup Serrano€6€14 for 10 days
AltaFit Puerta de ToledoNot listed€25 for a week
Infinit Fitness Goya€24.90 (€15 offer)5 entries €115 (€39 offer); 10 entries €199 (€55 offer)

AltaFit Puerta de Toledo, in Arganzuela, sells its €25 week pass at the front desk, per a review from around June 2026 (official club page; AltaFit chain page); Infinit’s bundle prices are from its official club page (September 2026). VivaGym Puerta del Sol and Embajadores also sell 7-day passes, price not listed, though July 2026 reviews describe re-entry trouble and disputes, and Opera Gym offers 1-, 3-, 7- and 10-day passes, prices not quoted (a July 2026 review). Our day, week or month guide covers the break-even maths.
