Taipei Gym Day Passes: Where to Train, Prices and Tips for Tourists

Your hotel near Taipei Main Station has a treadmill and a few light dumbbells, and you want a proper session before the night markets. Can you walk into a Taipei gym and pay for one visit?

Six Taipei gyms worth the trip

Taipei’s day passes come mostly from independent gyms, many of them in basements, plus the World Gym chain; the picks run from NT$100 to NT$650 across Xinyi, Zhongshan, Da’an and Taipei Main Station. Most prices come from dated Google reviews rather than official price lists. Each gym’s card shows the listing’s current price and when it was last checked.

1. FitMania — NT$100, the cheapest listed day pass

FitMania 健身狂潮 信義世貿館 (Xinyi World Trade Center), in the basement at Xinyi Rd Sec 4 No. 456, charges NT$100 for a day pass at the front desk, according to Google reviews from 2025 to May 2026; one reviewer called it an “amazing deal for tourists”. Reviewers mention functional kit, air-conditioning, free water and limited cardio; the listing records showers, free weights and a power rack. Hours are 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM at weekends.

2. Taipei Fitness Gym — NT$150 for old-school iron, open late

Taipei Fitness Gym, in the basement at Chang’an E Rd Sec 1 No. 21 in Zhongshan, charged NT$150 for a day pass as of March 2026, paid at the front desk, according to Google reviews from April and May 2026; the review that quotes the price adds that it’s cash only. Reviewers describe several cable set-ups, squat racks, plenty of lockers and a kind owner; the listing records a power rack. On weekdays it closes later than any other Taipei listing: 7:00 AM – 1:00 AM, and 7:00 AM to midnight at weekends.

3. Hypercore Fitness — NT$200 for racks and lifting platforms in Xinyi

Hypercore Fitness 台北忠孝市府館 (Zhongxiao City Hall), two floors underground at Keelung Rd Sec 1 No. 200, charges NT$200 for a day pass, according to a March 2026 Google review. It is an unstaffed “autonomous” gym: there is no reception, and you buy the pass and enter through the Hypercore app, which sends a verification code to your phone. Its sister branch, Hypercore Fitness on Songren Rd (B1, No. 89, also in Xinyi), is listed at the same NT$200, taken from the Zhongxiao branch. Both list a power rack and open 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM every day (official site).

4. MORE FIT Taipei City Hall — NT$200 a day or NT$1.5 a minute

MORE FIT Taipei City Hall, in the basement at Keelung Rd Sec 1 No. 139 by City Hall MRT exit 1, charges NT$200 for a day pass at the front desk, or NT$1.5 a minute, according to a 2025 Google review — so a session of up to two hours costs less than the day pass. Its official site (live in September 2026) advertises single entry (可單次入場) with no contract; the listing also records free weights. Hours are 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM every day.

5. Transcend 勸世健身 — NT$400, or NT$200 for women

Transcend 勸世健身, on the ground floor at Fushun St No. 31 in Zhongshan, sells a NT$400 day pass (NT$200 for women) at the front desk, according to its listing (last checked September 2026). It isn’t a women-only gym; women simply pay the lower rate. The listing says it isn’t cash only, and hours are 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM every day.

6. World Gym — NT$650 for a big full-facility club

World Gym (世界健身俱樂部), the only chain among Taipei’s day-pass listings, charges NT$650 for a day pass at the front desk — more than three times the typical price — at three clubs, according to Google reviews from 2025 to April 2026. At 世界健身俱樂部 台北站前店 (World Gym Taipei Station, B2 at Zhongxiao W Rd Sec 1 No. 50), listed separately under its Chinese name, a November 2025 reviewer visiting at 07:30 praises the friendly front desk, the space and the showers (club page). At Ton Lin in Da’an (3rd floor, Zhongxiao E Rd Sec 4 No. 201), an April 2026 reviewer found it well equipped but expensive (club page); at Songlong in Xinyi (2nd floor, Songlong Rd No. 125), a 2025 reviewer was quoted NT$650 by phone, then passed to the sales team to haggle (club page).

Two more clubs have no quoted price yet: Minsheng Elite in Songshan, Taipei’s only listing with a pool, where a 2025 reviewer saw many foreign visitors and day-pass holders; and Daan, the only one with a sauna. All five open 6:00 AM to midnight every day.

Where to train, by neighbourhood

FitMania’s NT$100 pass is a bargain if you’re in Xinyi, less so if you’re based at Taipei Main Station, where World Gym Taipei Station charges NT$650 but saves the trip. The Taipei gym map shows what’s closest to your hotel; here are the 16 listings by district:

• Xinyi: FitMania (NT$100), Hypercore’s City Hall and Songren Rd branches and MORE FIT (NT$200), World Gym Songlong (NT$650), plus 健身星球 Star Fitness and 體育客和平店 (no price yet).
• Zhongshan: Taipei Fitness Gym (NT$150), Everyday Training (NT$200) and Transcend (NT$400; NT$200 for women).
• Da’an: World Gym Ton Lin (NT$650), plus World Gym Daan, JOV FIT and 進化論 Evolution Fitness (no price yet).
• Taipei Main Station (Zhongzheng): 世界健身俱樂部 台北站前店 (World Gym Taipei Station, NT$650).
• Songshan: World Gym Minsheng Elite (no price yet).

Of the 16 listings, 5 record a power rack, 5 showers and 3 free weights; 1 lists a sauna (World Gym Daan) and 1 a pool (World Gym Minsheng Elite) — a blank means unconfirmed, not missing. For heavy lifting, FitMania, Taipei Fitness Gym, both Hypercore branches and Evolution Fitness list a power rack, and reviewers mention lifting platforms at FitMania and Hypercore; for a shower afterwards, FitMania, MORE FIT, World Gym Taipei Station, Evolution Fitness and 體育客和平店 list showers. How much does a gym day pass cost in Taipei?

A gym day pass in Taipei costs NT$100 to NT$650, typically NT$200, as of September 2026. That covers the 10 of 16 day-pass listings with a known price. What drives the difference:

• Neighbourhood gym or big club. Most independents charge NT$100 to NT$200: FitMania NT$100, Taipei Fitness Gym NT$150, and NT$200 at both Hypercore branches, MORE FIT and Everyday Training 天天健肌力體能訓練. World Gym charges NT$650.
• Who’s paying. Transcend’s listing shows NT$200, which is its women’s rate; everyone else pays NT$400.
• Day rate or meter. MORE FIT also sells time at NT$1.5 a minute, while JOV FIT and 體育客和平店 bill by the minute at rates not yet recorded.

The other listings have no confirmed price. Reviewers quoted NT$150 at Evolution Fitness in Da’an around September 2024, which may have changed, and call the drop-in price at Star Fitness a bargain without giving a figure. None of the 16 listings shows a weekly pass or a free trial; the only multi-day option on record is a three-day pass a reviewer redeemed at World Gym Daan around April 2026, with no price noted. Buying a pass: what to know

Walk in and pay at the desk — or by the minute

All 16 listings sell at the front desk, and none is listed as cash only or women-only, but ask whether you’re buying a flat single entry or paying by the minute. MORE FIT charges NT$1.5 a minute unless you take its NT$200 day pass; JOV FIT bills by the minute with card entry at the door (official site), Everyday Training’s listing name advertises per-minute billing (分鐘計費), and a 2024 review says 體育客和平店 lets light users pay by the minute. Carry New Taiwan dollars in cash — a 2026 review says Taipei Fitness Gym is cash only, though Transcend’s listing says it isn’t — and agree the price before any sales pitch, as at World Gym Songlong. A March 2026 review describes Hypercore’s City Hall branch as unstaffed, so check how visitors pay before you go.

What the pass leaves out

None of the 16 listings requires indoor shoes or a towel, but bring a towel, a padlock and a photo of your passport or ID, as an April 2026 reviewer at World Gym Ton Lin advises.
