Buenos Aires Gym Day Passes: Where to Train, Prices and Tips for Tourists

Yazan: Daily Sweat9 dk okuma

Your Palermo rental has no gym, and you’d like a proper session before an evening in San Telmo. Can you just walk into a Buenos Aires gym and pay for one day?

Quick answer

Yes: as of September 2026, 30 Buenos Aires gyms on Daily Sweat sell a day pass, from AR$4,500 to AR$25,000 and typically AR$12,000 (roughly US$8 at September 2026 exchange rates), and 28 of them sell it at the front desk. Peso prices change often, so confirm the price at the desk. The rule that catches visitors out: Smart Fit’s day-pass policy varies by branch, and its Bartolomé Mitre branch in Congreso refused a 2024 visitor anything shorter than a month.

Below: eight gyms worth the trip, then which ones are near your hotel, what passes cost, how buying works, and when a weekly or monthly pass beats paying by the day. For every listing, see all Buenos Aires gyms with a day pass or the map, or browse gyms across Argentina.

Eight Buenos Aires gyms worth the trip

Most day passes here come from independent gyms in Palermo, Microcentro and Congreso. These eight run from AR$7,000 to AR$19,500, all paid at the front desk — and because peso prices rise often, every price carries the date it was reported. Each gym’s card shows the listing’s current price and when it was last checked.

1. FitnessKING Abasto — heavy lifting at any hour, AR$7,000 in 2025

  1. FitnessKING AbastoBuenos Aires7,000.00 ARS day passChecked Sep 2026Six power racks and a deadlift platform, open 24 hours; AR$7,000 in 2025, so expect more.

FitnessKING Abasto, at Tucumán 3150, charged a reviewer AR$7,000 for a day pass at the front desk in 2025; the listing warns the price is a year old, so expect to pay more. The same reviewer found dumbbells up to 60 kg and a spacious locker room, though dumbbells were left scattered. It’s listed as open every day.

Before you go: ask today’s price at the desk before you get changed.

2. ON FIT — cheap central training, with a week pass

  1. ON FIT ObeliscoLavalle 925, Buenos Aires9,000.00 ARS day passChecked Sep 2026AR$9,000 a day or AR$27,000 a week by the Obelisco (2025 prices), across two floors.

ON FIT Obelisco, at Lavalle 925, sells both passes at the front desk, according to 2025 reviews; the listing expects inflation to have pushed the peso price up since. Reviewers describe a large, clean locker room, but midday crowds and some broken leg machines. Hours: 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM on weekdays and 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Saturdays; closed on Sundays (official site). ON FIT at Esmeralda 33 (Microcentro, weekdays only) and ON FIT Congreso at Combate de los Pozos 65 list the same 2025 rate, so confirm it there.

Before you go: pack your ID; the Obelisco listing asks for it.

3. Smart Fit — AR$10,000 at two central branches, if the desk agrees

  1. Gimnasio Smart Fit - MicrocentroSmart FitBuenos Aires10,000.00 ARS day passChecked Sep 2026AR$10,000 in 2025 for squat racks and air-con in Microcentro, if the desk sells day passes.

Smart Fit Microcentro, at Tte. Gral. Perón 547, charged AR$10,000 for a day pass at the front desk in a 2025 review that puts the squat racks downstairs; it opens 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM on weekdays, with shorter weekend hours. The catch: the day-pass policy varies by branch and by desk. At Smart Fit on Bartolomé Mitre (number 1759, in Congreso), a 2024 visitor was refused anything shorter than a month, yet a May 2026 reviewer came there for a one-day pass and praised the staff; its listing shows AR$10,000, Microcentro’s 2025 price. See both on our Smart Fit chain page (official site).

Before you go: ask whether the desk sells a single day. If not, a 2024 tourist refused by Smart Fit found one at Montal Gym, Bartolomé Mitre 1851.

4. Magnum Gym Palermo — AR$10,000, the lowest price in Palermo

  1. Magnum Gym PalermoBuenos Aires10,000.00 ARS day passChecked Sep 2026AR$10,000 in April 2026, the lowest price among the Palermo listings.

Magnum Gym Palermo, at Jerónimo Salguero 1834, charged that price at the front desk according to a review from 27 April 2026. Hours: 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM on weekdays, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM on Saturdays and 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM on Sundays. No facilities are recorded yet.

Before you go: check the photos on its Daily Sweat page first.

5. NITRO GYM Palermo — AR$12,000, late nights and Sundays

  1. NITRO GYM PALERMOBuenos Aires12,000.00 ARS day passChecked Sep 2026AR$12,000 in cash, open until 1am every night and on Sundays.

NITRO GYM Palermo, at Av. Córdoba 3358 on the Palermo–Almagro edge, charges the typical Buenos Aires price at the front desk, according to a May 2026 review that quoted it, and AR$70,000 for a month, as cash prices. Reviewers found it well maintained and spacious. It opens from 6:00 AM on weekdays and 8:00 AM at weekends, and a 2024 reviewer used a day pass on a Sunday.

Before you go: bring pesos in cash.

6. Always GYM — AR$15,000, cash only, the latest price report

  1. Always GYMC1414 C1425BUK, Buenos Aires15,000.00 ARS day passChecked Sep 2026AR$15,000 cash in Palermo, the most recent price report (August 2026).

Always GYM, at Guatemala 4641 in Palermo, sells its day pass for cash only at the front desk, according to a review from 6 August 2026 that found it easy to get one. Hours: 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM on weekdays and 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM on Saturdays; closed on Sundays (official site).

Before you go: withdraw pesos first; the desk took cash only in August 2026.

7. City Gym — AR$17,000 for an old-school session in San Telmo

  1. City GymPerú 467, Buenos Aires17,000.00 ARS day passChecked Sep 2026AR$17,000 for a basic, old-school session close by in San Telmo.

City Gym, at Perú 467, charged AR$17,000 for one visit at the front desk, according to an April 2026 review; a 2025 review quoted AR$9,000, a sign of how fast peso prices move. The April 2026 reviewer found the equipment very old and home-made-looking, and the 2025 visitor saw a Smith machine but no squat rack. Hours: 7:00 AM – 8:30 PM on weekdays and 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM on Saturdays; closed on Sundays.

Before you go: need a squat rack? Pick another gym; the 2025 reviewer didn’t see one.

8. SportClub LeParc — AR$19,500 for a big downtown club with a pool

  1. SportClub LeParcSan Martín 645, Buenos Aires19,500.00 ARS day passPoolChecked Sep 2026AR$19,500 for a huge downtown club with a pool; ask your hotel for a voucher.

SportClub LeParc, at San Martín 645 in Microcentro, charged that price at the front desk according to two reviews from December 2025 and January 2026; both reviewers found it expensive, and describe the multi-floor club as ageing and busy. In 2025, a hotel coupon halved the price, from AR$14,000 to AR$7,000. Hours: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM on weekdays and 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM on Saturdays; closed on Sundays (official site).

Before you go: ask your hotel for a voucher.

Where to train, by neighbourhood

A cheap pass across town can cost more in time and fares than one nearby. Check the Buenos Aires gym map for what’s closest, or start here:

  • Palermo: Magnum Gym Palermo (AR$10,000), Always GYM (AR$15,000), SportClub Palermo (AR$20,000, 2025) and Sportfitness Gym Palermo (AR$25,000).
  • Microcentro and the Obelisco: ON FIT (AR$9,000), Smart Fit Microcentro (AR$10,000) and SportClub LeParc (AR$19,500); Megatlon Center and Fiter Center offer free trials instead.
  • Congreso: Radical Fitness (AR$4,500 in 2025), ON FIT Congreso (AR$9,000), Smart Fit on Bartolomé Mitre (AR$10,000), La Mecca Fitness Congreso (AR$20,000) and Montal Gym (price to confirm).
  • Abasto and Almagro: FitnessKING Abasto (AR$7,000 in 2025) and NITRO GYM Palermo (AR$12,000).
  • San Telmo: City Gym (AR$17,000).
  • Elsewhere: Buena Vida Gym on Av. Cabildo (AR$12,500, April 2026) and New Force Gym on Gurruchaga (AR$21,000, May 2026).

Facility data is thin. Of the 30 listings, 1 records free weights and a power rack (Omnia Fitness Center, price not yet listed), 3 a pool (SportClub LeParc and both Megatlon clubs), 1 a sauna (La Mecca) and 1 showers (Always Gym Costa Rica). Reviews fill some gaps: FitnessKING Abasto has 6 power racks, Smart Fit Microcentro squat racks and Gimnasio XXL in Palermo a squat rack and dumbbells to 30 kg (2025). How much does a gym day pass cost in Buenos Aires?

A gym day pass in Buenos Aires costs AR$4,500 to AR$25,000, typically AR$12,000, as of September 2026. That covers the 17 of 30 listings with a price, several reported in 2025. What drives the difference:

  • When it was reported. The lowest, AR$4,500 at Radical Fitness on Moreno (now trading as MIM Gym / Go Gym Congreso), is from 2025, and peso prices rise often.
  • Who is at the desk. La Mecca Fitness Congreso quoted a visitor AR$20,000 in October 2025, while its printed sheet said AR$13,000 and a friend had paid AR$15,000 that week.
  • The club. SportClub LeParc (pool) asked AR$19,500 and La Mecca (sauna and spa) AR$20,000. The top price, AR$25,000 in cash, is at Sportfitness Gym Palermo, a 24-hour gym (April 2026).

Budget for today’s price at the desk plus spare pesos in case it has gone up. Each gym’s page shows where its price came from and when it was last checked — confirm before you travel, especially in peak season.

Buying a pass: what to know

Walk in, ask the price, and carry pesos

28 of the 30 listings sell the pass at the front desk, but not every desk sells a single day — Smart Fit’s Bartolomé Mitre branch refused a 2024 visitor anything shorter than a month. Cash matters: 2 of the 30 take only cash (Always GYM and Sportfitness Gym Palermo), and NITRO quoted its May 2026 prices for cash, while New Force Gym took a card for its AR$21,000 day pass in May 2026 and SportClub Palermo accepted credit cards in 2025. Bring ID, which ON FIT Obelisco asks for, and check the day’s hours: most listings close on Sundays. The longest Sunday hours are at FitnessKING Abasto and Sportfitness Gym Palermo (24 hours), NITRO (until 1:00 AM) and La Mecca (9:00 AM – 7:00 PM). Stuck? Try our 30-minute hotel gym workout.

A free trial is not a visitor pass

Megatlon publishes no paid day pass; its official site offers a free trial day booked online. Fiter’s official site offers a free one-day trial pass on request, but Fiter Center quoted a 2024 tourist AR$113,000 for a paid day pass.

What the pass leaves out

No listing records an indoor-shoe or towel rule, and none of the 30 is women-only; facilities are rarely recorded, so ask about showers and lockers. Packing light? Our carry-on gym packing list covers the kit.

One message settles most of it

Hello, I’m visiting Buenos Aires and would like to train on [date]. Do you sell a day pass for visitors, and what does it cost today? Can I pay by card, or is it cash only? Do I need to bring ID?
¿Tienen pase diario? (Do you have a day pass?)

Day pass or weekly pass?

Only 1 of the 30 listings sells a week pass, and ON FIT Obelisco’s saves money from your fourth visit. For longer stays, four gyms quote a monthly price:
